Today Renny would have been 5 years old. Our hearts remain heavy from the loss of his sweet kisses, his silly smiles, and his unshakable loyalty. We got Renny on our way back from our honeymoon. He was our companion through the beginning years of our marriage, the pandemic, buying our first house, getting Olly, and so many smaller, but equally profound moments. And, although he didn’t live to meet her in person, we know Renny would have adored our baby girl, Violet.
We feel so lucky to have had this time with such a deep and kind soul. Those that met him know that when Renny chose you, he became the most dedicated friend.
So here’s to our beautiful boy, Rainier Tchaikovsky Deffenbaugh Button. We love you and miss you. ❤️
