Originally reissued for this yearās Record Store Day, Blaze's seminal 1997 album Basic Blaze is now available to buy on DStore.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest production outfits in house music, Blaze have been shaping the sound since 1984, with over 100 releases to their name. Among their rich catalogue, Basic Blaze stands out. An eight-track collection that captures them at their very best and remains essential listening for any serious house fan.
Original copies have been hard to come by, often reselling for £60+ on the secondary market. This long-awaited reissue, the first since its original release, brings the record back where it belongs.
Pressed on transparent yellow vinyl and housed in a replica artwork sleeve, this edition stays true to the original while giving it the reintroduction it deserves.
If you missed it on Record Store Day, this is your moment, but donāt expect it to hang around for long.
Weāre rounding off the week with the news that Swiss producer @deetronofficial has joined our House Masters series.
Heās long been one of those artists DJs and heads alike keep coming back to. Known for his deep, groove-led take on house and techno, with releases on labels like Rekids, Nu Groove, Running Back, Classic and Clone.
This 2LP compilation brings together some of his best work to date and really shows the range of his sound, with peak-time cuts like āStarblazerā and āRunninā alongside his remix of āPalm Leavesā by Gerd. Thereās his reworks for Fred Everything and Wallflower too, plus āI Clingā which leans into a more soulful, vocal side of his production.
Also included is newer material, like his collaboration with Seth Troxler and a remix of Todd Terje.
Pre-order now for a 15th May release.
