You Know You Belong is such a soft coming-of-age story, and I absolutely loved it.
The book follows Zenobia, aka Zen, who had to return to a home that never truly felt like hers after the death of her grandmother. Going back home meant dealing with a strained relationship with her mother, and constantly feeling out of place.
What I loved most was how real everything felt. The family issues, friendships, relationship tensions, and confusion that comes with growing up and trying to find yourself all felt honest and relatable. The friendships especially stood out to me because they genuinely helped each character grow.
And then there’s Raluki🥹 my favourite character. Calm, gentle, welcoming, and never judgmental. The way he loved and supported Zen so softly made their relationship feel sweet, comforting, and genuine.
I also loved how the Nigerian culture was woven naturally into the story. Some of the cultural aspects mentioned were completely new to me, and it was really interesting reading about them.
This is one of the first YA romances I’ve read, and I genuinely enjoyed it. It was emotional, engaging, and very easy to read. Also, one thing I’ll always love? The character names🥺 You guys would never guess what “Raluki” means.
Overall, this was a solid 5-star read for me, and I honestly think you🫵🏾 should read it.
I’d really love to know the inspiration behind these names 👀
I used this song cause it reminds me of Raluki and Zen🤭

One thing I’ll always appreciate about her writing? The character names.
They’re so unique, so different, and they stay with you even after you close the book. I still haven’t forgotten Zane from Baxter — that name really stayed with me.
Which name is your favorite- Zenobia, Raluki, or Mio?

What you believe in influences your actions.
I don’t believe they were cursed. Do I believe curses exist? Yes, but not in the lives of these women. What they carried was fear, passed down from generation to generation, shaping their choices and quietly destroying their lives.
I loved reading this book. It was different, easy to read, and it really pulled me in. I felt so many emotions while reading : tension, sadness, and even frustration at times, and even a few tears when needed. It’s less about the supernatural and more about inherited pain, and how beliefs can keep people stuck in cycles they don’t even realise they’re repeating.
Having read the author’s previous books, this one is different in a good way, and I really enjoyed it. You should read this too, if you haven’t.
Alright, that being said, I don’t think Ebun is a nice person😒.
Have you read this?
Do you think they were cursed?🤔

New read, new world 🌎🤗
This is honestly one of the prettiest books I own and I’m already in love with it!😍
I’ve read the author’s previous books, so I’m really excited for this one.
Grateful for the early read. Thank you @erhukome 🤍

Love is sweet… but have you experienced love done God’s way?😌
Divine Hearts is a beautiful reminder that no matter your past, once you are in Christ, you are made new. Your past doesn’t define you, and when you let God lead, everything begins to align.
Just like Davido sang, “love is sweet, but when money enters, love is sweeter,” I’m borrowing those lines to say: love is sweet, but love done God’s way is even sweeter, healthier, purer, and more beautiful. Christopher and Karen’s story shows how love built outside God can fall apart, but when it’s rebuilt on His Word, it becomes calm, patient, and truly fulfilling.
I would have loved to see more of Christopher’s relationship with his sister, but overall, this is a 4⭐️ read for me. A truly beautiful and faith-filled story every Christian should experience.
Thank you @karenokebooks for the opportunity to read this beautiful story.

I know it’s a little late, but Happy New Year!🎉🎉
I’ve been on a little posting break, reading, watching, listening, and just living.
Here’s a small peek into what my year has looked like so far.
This year feels softer.

This book was such an easy, fast-paced read, a little chaotic and completely entertaining.
There were some gasp moments, a happy ending, and just the right amount of madness to keep things exciting.
I totally fell in love with both Biodun and Kunle, and it was beautiful reading their second-chance romance unfold. 💕
The book has the main elements of a romantic comedy(which is one of my favorite genre to read or watch), it’s funny, lighthearted, with plenty loveeeee🥰. The writing is beautiful and the characters are well-written.
The title of each chapter was one of my favorite things about this book. Each title made me laugh
As for the spice… it wasn’t really for me.
But overall? I loved it.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It’s a sweet romance😋
Oh, Teslim should not let me catch him outside. Such a foolish boy.

First time reading a post-apocalyptic story with a sprinkle of the supernatural and I was not disappointed!
Set in a world where water is the new currency and people will do just about anything to survive, this book grabs you from page one and doesn’t let go.
That plot twist? It will twist you😭. The book is fast paced, the writing is smooth, and it’s such an easy read.
At some point, I just kept praying the real world never becomes anything like this… because, we wouldn’t survive it.
And the ending… I did not see that coming. I was SHOCKED, truly! I thought I knew where the story was going, but the author said, “hold my cup” 😭😂😭. Her storytelling is beautiful, emotional, and absolutely gripping.
You should absolutely read this.
It was after I read this book that the cover made sense to me😭😭😭😭😭
