Our daily afternoon co-working hours have a new name. Welcome to flowstate, a creative commons and tea lounge for heart-led creators and entrepreneurs. Each afternoon, Monday through Friday, we offer a small collection of unlimited self-serve teas included with your reservation. Shoes come off at the door.   Why the new name?   Our most honest answer to this question is that we’re not always as quiet as we think we are (whoops!). What’s actually alive in our afternoon hours isn’t pin-drop silence. It’s laughter, deep conversation and generative, inspired, and co-creative action.   Over the last few months our space has become a natural gathering place for intentional, heart-led creators, entrepreneurs, founders, and leaders. And we want to nourish and fan that flame, not snuff it out.   So, we’re leaning into it.   We invite you to join us in the afternoons for unlimited self-serve Bardo Tea and vibrant fresh herbals from Oshala Farms in flowstate, Monday through Friday.   From time to time, we may also invite you to afternoon talks with creative leaders, thoughtful networking, community weaving and opportunities to join in conversation.

Wake Up Club is BACK! Friday, May 22 | 9:30–11 AM Weekly on Fridays We started Wake Up Club in the very early days of Deep Waters. At some point we put it down for a while because our attention was needed elsewhere, but lately it’s been feeling like the right time to bring it back. In part because I think we need it too.   There’s something happening right now that a lot of people can feel. Things that used to fit don’t fit the same anymore. The world feels louder, faster, more uncertain. A lot of people are carrying anxiety, grief, exhaustion, confusion, longing…and at the same time some deeper part of them is trying to wake up.   For some people that feels beautiful. For others it feels disorienting. Most of the time it seems to be both at once. Wake Up Club is a weekly gathering for people who feel that movement happening inside themselves and don’t want to move through it alone. It’s not really a class and it’s not therapy either. It’s more a place to come together honestly, compare notes, talk about what it means to be human right now, and slow down enough to hear ourselves a little more clearly.    Each week we’ll explore a different theme connected to becoming more awake and more fully alive. We’ll spend some time reflecting quietly, some time talking together, and we’ll close with a simple grounding or meditation practice. Nothing to perform. Nothing to get right. No pressure to have answers. Just people trying to stay connected to themselves and each other in a world that can feel increasingly disconnected.   Sliding scale $15–30. No one turned away due to lack of funds.

Grief Speaks | A Monthly Grief Circle Sunday, May 17 | 12:00 PM Leonard Cohen said the crack is where the light enters. Stephen Colbert, speaking of the plane crash that killed his father and brothers, said: “I love the thing I most wish hadn’t happened.” Deep loss is not the initiation any of us would choose. And yet it is one of the most effective teachers we have — a scalding reminder of what really matters, of how impermanent all of this is, of how much we’ve been hedging against the inevitable heartbreak of being alive. This circle is a place to bring what you’ve been carrying. To let it be witnessed. To allow it to move. First hour: speaking grief into the space, so it can be seen and honored  Second hour: metabolizing grief through creative practice Grief is meant to move through us — not calcify our hearts. Creative practice makes that movement possible. All are warmly welcomed to this sacred circle of supportive sharing, listening, and making. Loss comes in many forms - all permutations are welcome here. You do not walk this path alone. 🤍

Dreams + Variations  With Gautam Tejas Ganeshan Every Weekday | 10 AM–12 PM A daily morning practice of deep listening, rooted in the sacred Carnatic music tradition of Southern India. Each weekday, Gautam guides a live, acoustic musical exploration — voice accompanied by tambura (a drone lute, some made right here in the PNW from resonant local tonewoods), and when possible, joined by practitioners of related rhythmic and melodic arts. Every session explores a different raga — the deeply expressive “personalities” of Carnatic music — always organic, always spontaneous, always rooted in tradition. A low-stakes ritualization of your weekday morning A space for your own peaceful practice alongside the music  A deep dive for the curious — strictly acoustic, nothing plugged in  No experience or background required Sliding scale $5–$30 — supports the event and the Deep Waters space. Advance reservations are recommended. Come listen. Come settle in. Come start your day in the slow, sacred current of sound. 🎵

Soulscribe with Lorijo Daniels Saturday, May 23 | 1–4 PM Come listen to what your soul has been trying to say. Soulscribe begins with a guided meditation and journaling practice designed to help you drop beneath the noise and connect with your deepest longing. From there, we move into the creative — working with grass bundles, Japanese sumi ink, and a 6-foot piece of rag paper to translate what’s stirring inside into something visible. Using the energy of the visual meditation and the language of your unconscious, you’ll create a piece of art that is entirely, unmistakably yours. No two pieces are ever alike. No experience is required — only your willingness to listen and make marks. Sliding scale: $75–$125 — choose what you can comfortably contribute. Bring your longing. Bring your curiosity. Lorijo will bring the rest. 🪶

Open Studio | Every Friday, 12–2 PM For the part of you that’s been quietly tugging at your own sleeve. The one whispering: make something. Open Studio is a space to rekindle your creative spark. To come as you are and let what’s stirring inside you find its way to the surface. We each carry an inner creator waiting for the space to express what wants to be seen, made, and metabolized. So many of us have never had a safe, uninhibited space to disarm the inner critic and playfully explore those tender creative sparks. We come into the world as master creators and somewhere along the way, that knowing gets conditioned out of us. Open Studio is a place to reconnect with the parts of yourself that are longing to have a voice. All you need is an open heart, an open mind, and a little curiosity about what your psyche wants to reveal. 💫
