Since the 90s, Kevin (FBK) has been a DJ, producer and advocate in the dance music community of Ohio and beyond. His impact has been far-reaching, providing friendship, advice, and mentorship to many of us over the years. Kevin is currently awaiting a new kidney transplant. His body has unfortunately begun to reject his previous transplant. The donations collected will help cover surgical expenses and any other expenses he may have during recovery. It is our hope that the donations will alleviate some of the financial burden and allow Kevin the chance to recover without extra stressors. Earthworm has been burrowing around in Columbus for some time now, although he is not a native to this soil, he’s been carving channels and wiggling into his own niche. He’s a lover of transmutation so you can expect him to pivot and shift between sonic palettes. He hosts 3rd Shift, a monthly dance party at Cure, on the first Friday of every month where he plays records alongside Chris McKee and creates visuals under the moniker NFSW. He is also behind the scenes of the Columbus Museum of Art’s BAM Thursday series and Night Shift series.

Limiting hyperscale data center growth to preserve our environment This petition and this effort are about keeping Ohio in the hands of its people and keeping Ohio from becoming the “tech dump” that blind, uncaring corporate interests are rapidly pushing for it to be. This non-partisan effort is truly grassroots. We are people looking out for our communities in a time when communities are at risk. Hyperscale data centers pose serious risks for EVERYONE, with myriad short and long term impacts on: environment, economy, infrastructure, data privacy, and society. This petition seeks to amend the Ohio Constitution in order to ban the construction of data centers that consume over 25 megawatts (MW) of energy per month. 25 MW is the threshold between a manageable, community-friendly facility and an industrial scale data center that can use as much power as a small town. Our petition simply says that anything bigger than 25 MW should be prohibited. Ohio already has approximately 200 data centers and does not need any more. We believe that a better future for this state is possible; one that puts communities first, pushes growth and prosperity from within, and preserves the beauty and truly breathtaking natural ecology of this region.
