Back from Beijing and still processing. For the first time ever, we brought our full product range to Auto China, the country's largest auto show. Our Co-CEO Felix Poernbacher was on the ground alongside colleagues from engineering, procurement, and marketing. A setup that turned almost every booth conversation into a working session. What stayed with us was the pace. The openness to new technology. The sheer momentum on the show floor. We had genuinely rich exchanges with both European and Chinese players, and we walked away with a sharper sense of how quickly the center of gravity in electric mobility is shifting and how much appetite there is for what comes next. A market with speed, ambition, and a real lust for advanced tech. Worth paying close attention to.

The International Vienna Motor Symposium once again brought together some of the most influential voices in our industry - and it did not disappoint. Throughout the event, we engaged with leading experts, partners and innovators across the industry, driving discussions around the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of mobility. The strong interest at our stand and the many insightful conversations underlined the clear market traction of our Dual Rotor, Radial Flux technology and its readiness for series application. This was further reflected in the great feedback on our exhibits - from our enlarged component model, offering a clear view into the architecture and inherent simplicity, to our Generator, demonstrating how our technology enables highly efficient energy conversion across applications. With a total weight of just 26.5 kg including inverter, it also highlighted the compactness and system-level efficiency enabled by our Dual Rotor architecture. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and to our team on site Alexander Rosen, Vincent Berger, Marcel Baader, Julia Melles for the great teamwork throughout the event.

Range extenders need to fit – physically and operationally. A generator that’s too bulky, too complex, or too segmented won’t survive OEM integration. That’s why we built ours to be different: ▪ Compact: ~270 × 150 mm ▪ Integrated inverter, no extra boxes ▪ Flat, flexible layout ▪ Drop-in ready for existing platforms Plug-and-play isn’t a buzzword. It means fewer cables, cleaner thermal routing, faster time-to-market. “This is packaging as performance - and we built it to fit, not to fight.” Dr.-Ing. Alexander Rosen, Co-Founder and Chief Engineer at DeepDrive. 🔗 How we did it: https://lnkd.in/dQFC3QtQ (Link to website in our bio)

Critical materials matter and copper is a great example. Long-term availability, efficiency and material intensity will determine who can truly scale. Electric powertrains all rely on copper. But not all motor architectures are equal. Our Dual Rotor, Radial Flux technology is designed to deliver high performance with significantly lower copper demand compared to conventional solutions - without compromising efficiency or power density. The same principle applies to magnets. With our Dual Rotor, Radial Flux technology, the same power and torque can be achieved with around 50 % less magnet material compared to a conventional single-rotor PMSM. This means delivering the same system output with significantly fewer rare earth materials. Why that matters: - Reduced dependency on critical raw materials - More resilient supply chains - Better scalability for mass production - Lower material intensity per vehicle Designing electric drive systems with fewer critical materials is not just a cost topic - it’s a strategic advantage for the next decade of electrification.

Power is nothing without control – and in EVs, that means thermal control. When range extenders are pushed hard: long inclines, highway speeds, heavy loads – the biggest performance limiter isn't the motor. It’s the heat. That’s why we made direct conductor oil cooling a key part of our generator platform. ▪ Heat is removed directly at the source ▪ Infinite operation ▪ No thermal throttling ▪ Consistent performance under real-world loads And for flexibility? We offer both oil and water cooling – because not every use case is the same. “Oil cooling isn’t just a thermal feature – it’s a performance enabler.” – Dr.-Ing. Alexander Rosen, Co-Founder and Chief Engineer at DeepDrive. 🔗 Read how we built it, and why it changes what range extenders can do: https://lnkd.in/d2jRvZsg (link to website in Bio)

We’re kicking off the year with a look back at a pivotal moment: when we publicly presented our demo vehicle powered by the DeepDrive Dual Rotor technology for the first time. It marked a clear turning point: when the world experienced our technology not as a concept, but on the road. Since then, we’ve shifted gears: from validation to execution. With partners onboarded, industrialisation underway, and production ready to scale, 2026 starts with real momentum. A milestone behind us. Major steps ahead. Let's do this!

YouTuber and engineer Ryan Inis Hughes recently took a deep technical look at our Dual Rotor architecture, interviewing our Co-Founder and Chief Engineer Dr. Ing. Alexander Rosen and diving into the engineering principles behind our technology. In a dedicated video, Ryan breaks down what makes our Dual Rotor, Radial Flux architecture different - from the mechanically linked inner and outer rotor and the elimination of the conventional stator yoke, to the way magnetic fields are guided directly between the rotors to deliver higher torque density and efficiency without unnecessary mass. A big thank you to Ryan for taking the time to truly understand the details behind our Dual Rotor technology - and for sharing those insights with his community. 🎥 Watch the full deep dive here: https://lnkd.in/d87JQz58 (link also in our Bio)

At DeepDrive, we’re committed to a fully electric future. But we also know that in many parts of the world, infrastructure isn’t there yet – and EV adoption is limited by more than just battery range. That’s why we developed a generator. Not as a step away from electrification – but as a way to make it work where the reality on the ground still lags behind. In these regions, range extenders fill a real gap – not as fallback systems, but as integrated, high-performance solutions. Here’s how we approached it: ▪ Over 100 kW continuous power ▪ Compact footprint: 270 × 150 mm incl. power electronics ▪ Lightweight: under 30 kg ▪ Support for 400 V and 800 V systems ▪ Optional direct conductor oil cooling for continuous high-load use 🔍 Our cooling innovation removes heat directly at the conductors – enabling infinite operation with high torque output without overheating. And with low copper usage and reduced magnets and sheet metal, our system is efficient, scalable, and Tier 1–ready. Curious why range extenders are trending again – and what this means for electrification globally? Read the full blog by DeepDrive Chief Engineer Dr.-Ing. Alexander Rosen: https://lnkd.in/eN9VSwvM

The Süddeutsche Zeitung took a close look at our public demo vehicle on the Salzburgring and noted how our technical advantages became visible in practice: the demo car drove “astonishingly agile”, reacted precisely on the track, and maintained a calm, confident ride with our Dual Rotor In-Wheel drives integrated on the rear axle. As Stefan Schmid and Joachim Becker emphasised, a central reason for this potential lies in our disruptive technology - the foundation of all three of our products. Through this architecture, the In-Wheel motor enables energy to be converted almost loss-free into forward motion directly in the wheel. By removing the entire mechanical transmission, the design delivers high efficiency in a compact package - enabling new vehicle architectures and maximum range at minimal cost. Thank you Süddeutsche Zeitung for covering the event! Find the article in our Bio.

Our Co-Founder and Chief Engineer Dr.-Ing. Alexander Rosen shared what makes our Dual Rotor, Radial Flux technology groundbreaking –not only for our In-Wheel motors, but also for our Generator and Central Drive applications. At the core of our innovation lies a double air-gap architecture, enabled by our patented winding technology. This design increases torque density by around 60% compared to today’s market standard while using less material and improving overall efficiency. What does this mean in practice? 🔹 Higher torque density 🔹 Less material for the same performance 🔹 Increased efficiency across applications 🔹 Exceptionally quiet operation – with no noise emissions By now, we can say with confidence: our motor technology works perfectly in the vehicle. It performs exactly as intended on track, and we have solved the key challenges related to integrating our Dual Rotor architecture into vehicles.
