So this was INSANE to see today!! An absolute honor to be on the cover of @operacanada . Thank you for this feature and for a wonderful conversation. It’s hard to adequately describe how beautiful this journey has been. This path has held so much growth, grace and becoming. The past few years have been abundant with many unforgettable experiences and a lot of lessons along the way and I thank God for every single moment of it. Rehearsing Ercole Amante in the morning and performing Phillip Glass in the evening. Two incredibly special productions and journeys. Feeling really emotional tonight as we get closer to the end of Satyagraha at Garnier. This project has been so meaningful and every single night I am simply amazed at the shear brilliance and olympic performances on stage from this cast. Starting off an incredibly exciting and intense 2 back to back production journey at @operadeparis with Phillip Glass’ Satyagraha directed by the brilliant @bobbijene & @orschraiber . There is so much to say about this powerful story and project but for now I will leave you with this. As a South-Indian artist, this piece rings close to my heart unlike anything else. It reflects a philosophy that has shaped my heritage and cultural history in a pivotal way and I feel so fortunate to be a part of sharing it. To engage with it is to encounter the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi not as a distant figure, but as a guide whose voice and mission remain deeply relevant today. Satyagraha challenges us to take the path less travelled. It asks us to slow down. To listen deeper with compassion. To lead with conviction without force while standing firmly in truth. This meditation reminds me that change doesn’t always come in grand gestures, it begins in quiet moments in the smallest and simplest ways. There couldn’t be a more timely moment for this work to be experienced.
