There's been a shift for me. Launching and scaling SHHHOWERCAP®️ has been the most thrilling, empowering, eyeopening, and inspiring experience of my life — that doesn't change with the lessons and challenges we've faced recently, it focuses and amplifies the power and *value* of my inventive idea to see so much money made off subpar iterations and people trying so hard to continue to sell them. SHHHOWERCAP changed the industry the second I launched it and birthhhed a sea of followers. None that to this day, do it better than us. None that ever will. Because, as I've been known to say, and say to myself in the mirror on tough days — you can knock off a product, but you can't knock off a brand. Brands have heart and purpose and authenticity. What this category needed is what we built, a brand, an experience, a luxurious innovation for the majority of women in the world skipping washes. An insight untapped, an innovation misunderstood, but immediately embraced by the world. Which despite what anyone says, or says they need you to prove or see, or build to — that, is all you actually need to prove the size of the market and your market fit. Sales. Demand. Customers who love you and what you're providing. Velocity. There were the years of legwork behind the scenes that launched us to (almost) immediate millions in revenue with such smash success that my brand and I both became a literal target. After a long and complicated journey, what remains is our power as The Original waterproof turban. The Showercap Reinvented — is SHHHOWERCAP®️ with the hustle, heart, authenticity, insights and ingenuity, and as always the cult love of our customer that continues to power us through all of this and into the future. Huge thank you to @forbes @forbeswomen @alwayskarin for telling the 2025 update of my Female Inventor story so powerfully.

This past week was a wild one. One 'rose' of many in a bunch of 'thorns' was this conversation.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 This panel talk for Creative Female Leaders — insightful prompts & questions on embracing change in our careers. Each of these women had very different journeys, different paths, skills, and fields. Different ages and countries. It was empowering to hear anecdotes and overlaps in each of the many bold risks we took to get where we are. How we pivoted, believed in ourselves and our ideas at every step. The through line was clear — as women, our intuition is our super power. Own it. In business and in life. Thhhank you for having me! And, everyone in the engaged audience for getting so much out of it. Locked in with lightness. No better feeling. Rooms like those, energy like that, is what inspires me to continue building and sharing my experience so openly.

LUXEPACK 2026 vs LUXEPACK 2025 — what a difference a year makes! A year of evolution (!) both transformative personal and professional growth and this is that reminder. Showcased by last year being a first time ever LUXEPACK panelist, sharing my Inventor story & Advocacy publicly on the mic for the first time (just getting comfortable with what is now my IKIGAI) the same day, I received massive good news about my owned invention's Utility Patents (very nerdy, very detailed, but it was a huge win that expanded my IP rights, removed competitor leverage used against me to gaslight and diminish my worth for years — in one decision, amplified the value of what I invented and own as my company and my own Female IP assets) right before I went on stage! and, the bestie dinner conversation with the very beginning of what became ongoing topics, and partners that quickly became dear friends. I started as a Panelist, speaking my truth & expertise in 2025. In 2026, returning as panel Moderator & honored to be invited as a LUXEPACK Board Member for the premiere luxury branding & packaging Conference. Right where I belong, at the top of this industry advancing, educating, advocating, and creating change for Innovators & Designers everywhere — through the lived experience that could have killed me, alchemized to inspiration & motivation. Proud of me. Proud of you. Proud of us. All of us. Everyone is evolving, growing, expanding — and, rightfully so. What a year it's been. What a year! WHAT A YEAR!

A drop of (very Aries) unfiltered selfies so that I never forget how hottt, loved, blessed, and happy I was when I turned 40. My grown woman go to selfie face is the same expression as the youngest little girl on the lighter series — and, I love that so muchhh as I nurture my inner child more intentionally this decade. Fans? Enjoy!!! Haters? It'll be okay. 😌 Everyone, keep watchhhing. Protecting my energy while I can't help but to feel yours. It's all alchemy, baby. Feed me.

The best night! Feeling so blessed that my life is what it is. Highs and lows that brought me to exactly where I'm supposed to be. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this immaculate vibe decade after decade and day after day. I'm so lucky to be surrounded by this much love both near and far. Friends, family, flowers, tonight was truly flawless. Thhhanks to my husband with impeccable taste and attention to detail for bringing my (literal) mood boards to life. Feeling pretty good about this next decade — especially with you by my side. And, to the goatttt @emcanon you really get all the credit but lets share the trophy a little bit with the man who made it all possible. Thanks to @kineuphorics for my non-alcoholic beverages all night long. I'm a very happy birthday girl. 4 decades, which is my new cute fun way of saying the age that I just turned. I'm the luckiest.

Coachella, year two! Weekend one! Day one, day two, and decidedly no Day 3! Because we have grown, adult, Monday responsibilities and people who rely on us! THAT PART! Thank you to everyone who brought the absolute best vibes for my birthday weekend in the desert. Especially my sassy angel niece who is wayyy too young to party with us at 7 years old but, was very much there in full spirit — decked out the car out back in Laguna Beach before mom and dad drove out — and, gifted me this birthday princess tiara which made every minute of the festival brighter. Sprinkled with so many birthday glimmers and beautiful connections whenever someone noticed. Sparkling into 40. No one can dim my light, I shine too bright.

Today, the woman I love turns 40. In the 19 of those years we’ve been together (crazy) I’ve seen her achieve otherworldly things, push through massive adversity and grow into the magical, magnetic woman she is today. I’m so proud to be the man by her side through it all and have a sneaking suspicion that this next decade is going to be her best yet. I certainly wouldn’t bet against her.

Bold women in business. I could write a book on it! Self-assured, confident, outspoken women in business and life are the ones that succeed in launching and scaling anything new or differentiated to the real big numbers. That establish real value and purpose. But, those same women, once they have established their power and have the confidence to assert it, is where things get quite complicated. With everyone. Even in your personal life. It requires a level of self-awareness and confidence on the other side of interpersonal and business that most people simply don’t have. The power dynamics, the expectations, the generational differences, all roll under the same truth. Strong women scare weak men as the saying goes. Yes, sure. But, what is much closer to the truth is that strong women scare everyone that is not a strong woman themselves. Men who claim “ally” or “feminist” genuinely still operate with a level of bias and misogyny that they’re rarely held accountable for or questioned about. The amount I’ve met that are coasting on 5mm raises while we have to be magical unicorn rockstars to even get our first retailer is mind-blowing. The skills it requires, the structures to establish, how to assess & navigate it all to successfully be a bold woman is so much of what I’ve observed and learned. I try to apply in practice. I’m better about it today than I was when I first started SHHHOWERCAP® in 2015. I’m better about it than I was when I was even younger working & fighting for my ideas in Advertising. How the world responds when a woman moves that way. When she breaks the mold and has the AUDACITY to be doing so with conviction? When she’s confident not fitting in a box? Standing up for herself? Synapses snap. But, maybe they should. Because the universal reality is that women in business are continually underestimated. As I sell out of new prints, reinforce the purpose my brand has always stood for, prep to launch a new line of haircare, flex our wins, show up in my power publicly and privately, love & flaunt my curves, lean into my feminine sensuality & sexuality, inspire the next generation of female innovators — Keep watchhhing. I'm not one to underestimate.

As the end of Women’s History Month comes to a close, spending time with so many incredible, caring, and supportive women this month — on panels, at dinners, and in conversations with "Female success" as the purpose & goal — has both empowered & frustrated me. It reminds me just how many MEN in this business I’ve seen dedicate personal bandwidth, countless hours, millions of their own cash dollars & professional skills — trying to take, invalidate, and leverage me for IP rights they don’t have. Then, in the process, attempt to distort my identity as a Female Inventor, threaten the success of my multi-million dollar, category-creating invention, and de-rationalize our value overall. Brand matters. Original products matter. Most of all — Women’s journeys matter! Especially those of women who paved the way, stood up for themselves, spoke out against what is unfair, unjust, and wrong — took the hit & suffered greatly for it. Women’s history is built from decades of women like me and the horror stories of what happened when we had the audacity to stand up & fight for our own rights. “Be quiet.” “Don’t rock the boat.” “Don’t hurt the case,” they said — right. As painful as it is, the best case scenario is today, they can’t sell that. By all means, though, continue to distribute that “turban shower cap” with a gripper on the inside. Women’s history, rebuilding this company & rebuilding my brand is a daily dedication, with love in my heart and passion in my soul. Just like it was when I first had the idea to “reinvent the shower cap” in 2013, every day of my 2 years of development to create my invention, and every day of the decade since I launched to millions & over 400+ writeups. I am moving on. I want nothing to do with these people. I look forward to them making sure that’s able to be my lived reality as a Woman in Business, Female Inventor, Female Founder, as I rebuild and recover @shhhowercap to its glory days before they sued me for asserting my own IP rights. In what always was and still is today — an American innovated, NYC made, Female Founded, IP protected product. Which is rightfully mine & only SHHHOWERCAPs to make, sell & distribute. Read it again.

Spent the month running around making Women's History with some of my favorite women. 🫧🫧🫧 No men were harmed in the making of this carousel.
