The Deejays Association of Nigeria has finally addressed the wave of misinformation circulating across the entertainment industry, setting the record straight and reaffirming its stance on professionalism and unity. In a firm statement, the association made it clear that recent claims involving its name and activities are misleading and unverified, stressing that such actions threaten the credibility of the entire music ecosystem. “The deejaying profession is built on trust, credibility, and responsibility. Any misuse of our identity or spread of false information undermines not just DJAN, but the integrity of the industry as a whole,” the association stated. While addressing the issue at the state level, @deejayroland9ja , Chairman of DJAN Lagos Chapter, also weighed in, aligning with the national body’s position and reinforcing the association’s core values. “Our focus remains on promoting professionalism and collaboration across the industry. DJAN is not an enforcement body for bans or censorship, but a platform for unity and growth,” he noted. DJAN further clarified that it does not support or endorse any form of unofficial sanctions, blacklisting, or divisive actions, distancing itself from narratives suggesting otherwise. According to the association, its mission remains clear: To strengthen the relationship between DJs, artists, and stakeholders while maintaining ethical standards across the board. The body also issued a subtle warning to media platforms and content publishers, urging them to prioritize accuracy, verification, and responsible reporting, especially in an era where misinformation spreads rapidly. Add a comment for @olamondnaijatv We encourage all stakeholders to act responsibly, Misinformation not only damages reputation but also slow down the progress of our industry, DJAN added @djanlagos salute @olamondnaijatv
