Let me tell you a little story....
Close to 20 years ago, I began djing at house parties and as soon as I turned 18 I entered the Sydney nightclub scene. I was a dj with a mission: to share the sound of Reggaeton, to share my Latino roots and to educate people on an up and coming genre. Back then, not many people got it. I got laughed at and questioned, but I never let it stop me from playing the music I loved. In Australia and my circle as a teenager, not many people understood my language, not many people would give Reggaeton a chance.
Fast forward to today, Reggaeton is everywhere. It’s been incredible to watch the genre grow from something people made fun of to a global phenomenon. I’m proud to have been a part of that journey, and I’m still just as passionate about sharing the music that started it all.
Reggaeton continues to be more than music, its a movement and transcends all languages globally from South America to Japan, United Kingdom and now Australia. Reggaeton has no limits, it continues to grow with thousands of artists and millions, if not billions of views and streams online.
My mission has not changed, seguimos el party y seguimos con el Reggaeton en alto! 🎧🎶
