2024 was quite the year. 😅😌
Sometimes it was really bumpy - sprinkles of turbulence ere and dere....okay , truthfully, was lots worse than just bits...crazy storms more like 🤣
Testimonies of deliverance and restoration that would make a grown man weep . 🥺
I got to work on some beautiful projects with amazing creatives and we made magic! ✨
Here's to a 2025 full of much bigger wins and boundless creativity.
Happy New year! 🥂

It feels different to win.
I always say it's not about the recognition... But the recognition feels GOOD!!!
"Dead Tide" was a real team effort. Grateful to @sojioguns and @rushingtapstudios for trusting me with this project. I'm grateful to @tolulordtanner for the referral... Crazy to think that "the artifact" was also nominated.
To my team... My quarter back @leomakesbangers thank you for putting in the work. To the incredible artists that contributed to the OST @heiszohar , @yolexmusic@zayoboy thanks for making this masterpiece with me.
Here's to many more years of spectacular music
A few months ago, I sat down with the good people at @wetalksound to talk about film music along with some of my absolute faves @avamomoh@tyanx@kulanen and Anu Afolayan.
The full documentary is out today on @wetalksound YouTube page.

I don't think I've juggled things in my life as intensely as i had to do this past week. Too many to fit into ANY carousel.
Guess what? I survived.
And back at the studio because there's always work waiting.
Just goes to prove that we can do hard things, really. No matter how intense.
But more importantly that structure makes even the hardest things much easier to achieve.
Have a great week! 💪🏼
Painfully accurate 😆 because you start with " this is the one! this is divine inspiration!" and 3 hours later you are deep in some sonic identity crisis over a snare that sounds too polite.
At some point, it's no longer music, lol! Its just you versus one stubborn frequency.
And the wild part? When it clicks ...finally...., it sounds so simple, you almost feel cheated.
From the first rough demos to the final mastered exports, it’s been a month of pure sonic evolution at Djklem Studios.
To every artist who trusted us with their vision this month: Thank you for letting us be part of your story.
We’re closing the books on April with a catalog of new hits and opening the doors for an even bigger May.
What was your biggest creative win this month? Can we celebrate your progress in the replies? ⬇️

You need to understand that PERCEPTION matters and your clients experience working with you matters very much regardless of what it's been like in the past.
In the end, that work process will be a major factor in the referrals, reviews and feedback you get as a brand.
And what's the point if these aren't encouraging or constructive?
These might seem 'not as important ' but trust me, it carries a lot of weight.
One of the most humbling lessons I've learnt especially this month is that, while talent and creative genius is very important, other factors like REPUTATION, WORK ETHIC and CONSISTENCY will take you much farther.
What are people saying about you in the industry?
What's the go-to perception where you are concerned?
Do people hear your name or brand and immediately close up, laugh, shake their heads or eagerly want to share their experiences working with you?
Whenever i am working on a film or a documentary, the "depth" is my ability to translate a director's abstract vision into a "tangible mood".
👉🏽Ambition (The Surface): Creating a track that sounds "epic" or "trendy" to catch the audience's ear immediately.
🤌🏽Depth (The Substance): Using leitmotifs, specific instrumentation, and frequency management to subconsciously influence the viewer’s emotions over a long-form story. 🙃
The Result: A film score that people want to listen to even after the credits roll, because it wasn't just "background noise" , it was the heartbeat of the entire project.
Talking about 'depth in creative legacy' isn't just "doing many things". It is INTEGRATING them efficiently.
Whether it’s music production, video editing, or creative strategy, the depth comes from how these skills inform one another.
👉🏽Visual-Auditory Depth: Because you understand the rhythm of music, your video editing likely possesses a pacing and "soul" that a standard editor might lack.
👉🏽The Result: Work that doesn't just "look good" (impresses) but "feels right" (lasts).
Sho' get?
Have a great sunday!
