Made this cape out of extra material removed from the train of a dress to match perfectly. So charming for a February wedding! ✨

It’s time for a big announcement: DeeConstructed is moving! As much as I’m going to miss my charming space in Etna, it’s time to make the move to a new location that has some more room. Starting September 1st, I will be located at 5107 Clariton Blvd. Pittsburgh PA 15236. Etna has been DeeConstructed’s hub for 4 years and it was my first dedicated space outside of my home, so I’ve become very attached to the area and the friends I’ve made in the surrounding businesses. I’m a little sad to leave. 🄹 Thanks to my clients for all your support and willingness to drive a little bit further for my services (or maybe a little less depending on where you’re coming from!). Until I get moved in, here’s a view of the outside and a few memories from my Etna space.. Here’s to a new chapter. šŸ„‚

First wedding of 2025 was a custom made dress for a dear friend @kaleighrdennis ! I was so honored that she asked me make the dress of her dreams and be a part of her special day. šŸ¤šŸ„¹ what a fun way to kick off the new year! ## šŸ“ø by @sansonetim

Looking back at some of the amazing women I had the opportunity to meet and work with in 2023. Being a bridal seamstress is hectic, stressful, and daunting at times- but it’s also extremely rewarding when you see the final product and have a happy bride taking home her dress after her last fitting. It’s bittersweet because sometimes that’s the last time I get to see those ladies. šŸ«¶šŸ¼ I love when they share their wedding photos with me! Have a happy New Year, everyone! Time to make new sewing memories and meet my 2024 brides. šŸ’«

ā„ļø There’s still time to get custom ornaments made for Christmas. ā„ļø Memorial ornaments- such as the šŸ¤ā€™s pictured above- can be made with clothing from a loved one that’s passed. Such a special gift! šŸŽ Order by December 11th to have in time for Christmas! šŸŽ„

It took me entirely too long to post these amazing wedding dress transformations that I did for my lovely friend @weenaisstartinyartin in 2022. But, what better time then around Valentines Day to show off one of the sweetest couples I know! šŸ’• Angelina and I spent a year working together turning her mothers wedding gown into an extremely cool version while still keeping all the vintage details she loved. We also turned her Mother-in-laws wedding dress into a wide leg jumpsuit which she wore as she danced the night away at their reception. šŸ’ƒšŸ¼ Last but certainly not least, I created a custom embroidered veil for her that matched the moody fall colors of her wedding party. @weenaisstartinyartin Thank you for trusting me with these cherished projects and for being the most patient and loving soul along the way. šŸ‘°šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø Seriously—can you stand how beautiful these wedding photos turned out?! šŸ˜ šŸ“ø @jc.photog_

This is one of my favorite projects thus far. Mostly because of the sentimental value it holds. This bride gets to start off her wedding day wearing this satin PJ set that I made from her grandmother’s wedding veil. šŸ¤šŸ¤

Here’s a peek at how a blind hand-sewn hem is done. 🪔 Machines can do blind hems as well but doing it by hand is the best way to avoid any noticeable stitches along the hemline. This type of hem is time-consuming so it will be more expensive, but totally worth it! Swipe to see the finished product!

How cute is this sweatshirt?? Would you believe it was a pair of sweatpants originally? I bought these *cute* drop crotch sweatpants recently and was so excited about what a steal they were, until my bf let me know just how unattractive they were. (He was right, but don’t tell him.) So I tried this little trick where I cut the pants along the inside seam to create a neck hole and this is what came out of it. At least it has pockets! What do you think??

Oops.. I was so excited to give @rossini315 his coat that I forgot to take a picture of the lining I replaced. Here’s some of the design process though. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø
