I’m so late posting this! I wrapped another feature in February. ‘No Ordinary Heist’ is inspired by the events surrounding the Northern Bank robbery in Belfast, December 2004. £26.5m was stolen, making it among the biggest ever in UK / Ireland.
Starring Eddie Marsan, Eanna Hardwicke, Eva Birthistle and Michelle Fairley. Directed by Colin McIvor. Week before last I was in LA attending an ASC Masterclass in Virtual Production. Among the instructors we had DP’s David Klein ASC (The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett), and Rob Legato ASC (VFX supervisor on The Jungle Book, The Lion King, oh and a few others like Titanic and Avatar). However our last teacher / guide / oracle is someone who has a particular place in the hall of fame of cinematographers, Dean Cundey ASC. Legend is an understatement. An amazing experience. A week ago I wrapped on the feature ‘Four Letters Of Love’. This was a dream job in a way, shooting this script, with these actors, in some of the most beautiful places in Donegal and the north Antrim coast.
