another year, another lap🎂
shit man… this aint the birthday post i thought i was gonna be making this year but here we go..
this last year been a hard season so i was ready to celebrate my birthday this year fasho. just celebrate life and all that we’ve done and about to do moving forward. dropped some new music to kick off the new year, new me and i was truly feeling on a high. Mr. QT was actually spending a birthday in ATL for once so i hit up the gang to celebrate. never knew that such a great day would turn to a nightmare and all my birthdays for the rest of my life would be changed forever. as i was celebrating a new year, i had no idea i was losing a brother too. getting that call was a moment i’ll never forget. hours after just talking to you. shit didn’t even feel real. feeling conflicted of should i keep celebrating life while grieving death was a hard battle. im still in shock and processing everything and honestly wanted to go back to laying low for awhile but you and God made it clear that i gotta keep pushing forward with the plans that were already in motion.
keino, my brother, i love you dawg and never wanted to hear you call me a pigeon head so bad in my life lol we really made memories to last a lifetime and ima carry them with me. know that Cree always gonna have his uncle dee that he can rely on. and i guess, we’ll be celebrating life together from here on out on April 10th.
thank you to everyone for the love shown for my birthday, the new music and the loss of my brother. greatly appreciated. just give me grace over the next couple weeks as i find my rhythm again and get back to it. it felt weird tryna promote music while dealing with such a tragedy but i was reminded that it’s my job and i’m a vessel and to channel what i’m feeling into my art so im gonna do my best to keep it pushing.
