Big news! I’m so excited to announce that I’ve been chosen as a recipient for the @oneeveryfiftytwo grant! And as I understand it, I’ll be the first Chicago-Based designer to be a recipient!

I feel so lucky and honored to have my work seen and recognized by the Broadway designers adjudicating this award.
If you were around me this summer I may have mentioned a grant submission I was working on and I’m pleased to say this is what I was talking about! I worked incredibly hard on my submission this year and the experience actually allowed me to take time to intentionally reflect on my design philosophy and I truly feel like a better designer for it. I’ve grown a lot over this past year and I’m glad the effort I’ve put in to my artistic growth is being seen.
To The 1/52 Project; thank you for seeing me. And thank you for this life changing opportunity to continue in the arts
To my “garden” of friends and collaborators; I’m so grateful to share community with you and I couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you for seeing me and helping nurture me into the artist I am now. Here’s to a lot more growing together!
Goodnight, Lavender Men. Took a few days to process closing on this one. This show was physically, mentally, and emotionally trying in a way that would have been unbearable if not for the people involved. I've never been on a team like this before, where I had such a connection and positive animation with not just the people in my department, not just the people on stage, but with every single member of the design, production, and performance processes. This was a once in a blue moon (if not once in a lifetime) experience, and it hurts a little to walk away from it. But I'm proud of the work we did, and I'm ready for some rest. Love you all so much.

Any help would be appreciated! It's been a hard few months and I'm really in a dire position. I wish I didn't have to make a post like this but here we are. The songs will be completed over the next couple of months and will be featured over on a new Sound Design Instagram that I've made @deemakesnoise . The songs are a token of gratitude for donating and are not commissions, unfortunately I don't have the space to customize and iterate but I'll take instrument suggestions and try to use it if it's available to me!

So much happened in 2022! I got a car and sold my bike (RIP Persephone) and did a bunch of cool design work which is really exciting! I have a feeling 2023 will be even better :) keep scrolling for a surprise!
