The Reuters photography staff has been named a 2026 Pulitzer Prize Finalist in Breaking News Photography for our coverage of immigration enforcement across the United States.
As a stringer for the team, I spent months documenting the proceedings and human impact at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan. Our collective portfolio was recognized for its breadth and immediacy in capturing a critical national narrative.
It is an honor to have this work acknowledged alongside such talented colleagues. Thank you to the editors and the entire staff for the opportunity to contribute to this important reporting.
I was surprised to receive an email informing me that The New York Times Metro Desk was a Pulitzer finalist for a group submission in the Breaking News coverage category of The Bronx fire. A tragic event I photographed. These are some of the photos used in that submission.
