I thought it was apt that I use images from one of my favourite moments of 2023 when we premiered The Contestant at TIFF.
That and many other moments made 2023 quite the year and looking forward to 2024 that kicks off with a trip to Sundance later this week.

Black certainly is BEAUTIFUL.
Sad to hear of the passing of Terence Stamp. I was lucky enough to work with Terence on Viking Destiny, he was incredible as Odin. His body of work was immense but for me it was his roles in Superman 2, The Limey and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
When filming Viking Destiny we had a chat about Priscilla and he told me he had never been so scared to take on a role in his life. He was terrified of doing the role justice and thought he was going to get savaged afterwards. Obviously the film went on to be one of the great indie hits, helped hugely by his fabulous performance as Bernadette.

Anyone who knows me well knows what metal music means to me. Glad to say I got to see Sabbath about ten years ago with Ozzy on great form. So long and thank you for what you did for the metalhead misfits of this world. You were one of a kind.
