As 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀; 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 comes to a close, kohesi Initiatives express our appreciation to Dede Cipon, whose artistic practice has been integral to the making of this exhibition. 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴; 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 reflected on how people adapt to a hyper-digital reality, not by imitating digital imagery, but by contemplating its influence on human thought. By slowing down, admitting error, and inviting contemplation within the age of relentless acceleration, Cipon attempts to understand how the systems operate and interact, and how, by looking more carefully, we might unlock another way of understanding them. Our sincere thanks also go to all who have contributed to the realization of this exhibition. 🌐 Trace back the exhibition on our website.

#pinkisthenewpunk Grong Socius 2025

Stepping back into the exhibition tour and dialogue 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴; 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 which took place on Saturday, (10/1), Dede Cipon and Adhi Pandoyo previewed Cipon’s starting point for the new body of works as something that emerge from a deeply personal observation formed by living in an era where being online has become the default condition rather than a choice. Cipon extended his notes about how the environment and daily experience is no longer confined to physical presence alone; instead, perception itself is increasingly shaped by constant interactions within the virtual realm of cyberspace. Thoughts, emotions, and even memories are filtered through screens, platforms, and networks that operate through vast and invisible flows of data. Within this condition, human awareness is continuously mediated by interfaces and machine-driven processes—algorithms that sort information, images that circulate endlessly, and systems that translate lived reality into digital traces. 🔗 This is the final week to visit the solo exhibition, 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴; 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯. Make sure to catch the show while it runs until 18 January 2026. — 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀; 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 Solo exhibition by Dede Cipon 6 Dec 2025 - 18 January 2026 Tirtodipuran Link Building A Jl. In 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴 (2025), horizontal lines and dotted sequences suggest parallel streams without a clear beginning or end, emphasizing continuity. Lines imply structured transmission and infrastructure, while dots introduce fragmentation, packetization, and moments of interruption. Color is used formally to differentiate layers and rhythms, echoing the visual logic of signals and interfaces without assigning fixed meanings. Seen through the same lens, 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘴 (2025) originates from a single fragment from a feed: an image structure designed for endless repetition, rapid consumption, and partial attention. The same grid is drawn directly into a silkscreen using water-soluble pastel and printed as a monoprint repeatedly. The image gradually loses clarity through looser drawing process and the instability of the medium itself. The screen retains the gesture of drawing, but only imperfectly, introducing erosion with every transfer. In the exhibition, Cipon’s works reflect how digital images circulate today, durable in structure yet fragile in significance. 𝘔𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 is worn down through constant exposure, replaced by sensation and repetition. — Images (in order of slides): [𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀] 2025 Pencil, acrylic, and spray paint on paper 38 x 60 cm [𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝟬𝟭] 2025 Water-soluble pastel, soft pastel, & acrylic on paper 60 x 30 cm [𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝟬𝟮] 2025 Water-soluble pastel & acrylic on paper 56 x 28 cm — 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀; 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 Solo exhibition by Dede Cipon 6 Dec 2025 - 18 January 2026 Tirtodipuran Link Building A Jl. The exhibition presents how Dede Cipon employs drawing as an act of interruption, using analog mark-making to reintroduce human touch into systems defined by automation, precision, and impersonality. His gestures slow the velocity of the coded world, revealing how digital structures are absorbed, distorted, and reinterpreted as they pass through the body. Mistranslation becomes a method—allowing glitches, deviations, and minor failures to surface as visible traces of human presence. The imagery emerges from sustained observation of how such systems behave: how they organize, repeat, evolve, and eventually break down. Cipon likens this process to studying the “physics” of cyberspace. Each drawing becomes a record of dialogue, shaped equally by intuition and analysis, where mechanical precision and human fallibility meet halfway. Through diagrammatic forms and structural traces, the exhibition extends Cipon’s ongoing inquiry into how systems shape perception and organize contemporary ways of seeing. 💻 Read the exhibition text on the e-catalog, available on our website. 🎟Join the exhibition tour and conversation with the artist. Semi-transparent dark acrylic panels are positioned in front of a patterned field of stripes, pixel grids, color blocks, and graphic marks. Together, in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘝𝘦𝘪𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘚𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘴 (2025), these elements simulate digital structures—codes, data streams, data blocks, registration systems, and the small glitches that appear in transmission. The panels act as a veil, cutting through the patterns behind them and preventing a clear view from the front. Simultaneously, the almost reflective acrylic surface introduces additional interference; reflections of the room, the lights, and the viewer’s presence seemingly become part of the work. Behind this veil lies a composition of fragmented text and more vividly colored elements symbolizing censored material. The work treats censorship as interference rather than removal. Information is covered or broken up, but it still sits underneath, visible through other angles or paths. Like bypassing digital blocks with mirrored routes, the image remains present, and the viewer must work around the offsets to find it. Cipon’s methodology in constructing this work reflects the logic and system of modern censorship. Withholding not by erasing, but by distorting access. He presents an image that is never fully accessible, constantly shifting and mediated through layers (or veils) that obscure. — Images (in order of slides): [𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱𝘀 𝟬𝟮] Pencil, coloured pencil, watercolour, acrylic, & vinyl on paper, mirrored acrylic sheets 55 x 75 cm 2025 [𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱𝘀] Pencil, coloured pencil, watercolour, acrylic, & vinyl on paper, mirrored acrylic sheets 75 x 55 cm 2025 — 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀; 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 Solo exhibition by Dede Cipon 6 Dec 2025 - 18 January 2026 Tirtodipuran Link Building A Jl. The exhibition presents how Cipon translates digital structures—grids, repetitions, glitches, network nodes, and layered data streams—through manual gestures, where he seeks to render the immaterial logic of the machine into tangible marks. These marks become traces of a dialogue: part intuition, part observation, where mechanical precision and human fallibility meet halfway. In 𝘖𝘧𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘥 (2025) for instance, Cipon captures the familiar, everyday experience of drifting off course while navigating digital space. The pastel grid evokes a clean, orderly interface, yet interruptions of holographic foil, gold accents, and neon orange lines cut through its structure. These visual disruptions operate like prompts, notifications, or algorithmic detours—elements that subtly pull attention away from its original intent. The grid system is also visible within 𝘈 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘌𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘞𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘦, which reflects the common experience of opening a device for a single purpose, only to find oneself somewhere entirely unplanned. While the grid in Cipon’s works appears to guide the eye, it simultaneously ensnares it, mirroring how digital systems are designed not only to organize information, but also to redirect focus and prolong engagement. — Images (in order of slides): [𝗔 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲] Pencil, colored pencil, watercolour, ink, marker, acrylic & vinyl on paper 100 x 50 cm 2025 [𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗱] Pencil, water colour, marker, acrylic, vinyl on paper 56 x 100 cm 2025 [𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴] Pencil, colour pencil, water colour, marker, & acrylic on paper 50 x 80 cm 2025 — 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀; 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 Solo exhibition by Dede Cipon 6 Dec 2025 - 18 January 2026 Tirtodipuran Link Building A Jl. As part of 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴; 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯, Dede Cipon expands the 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘹 series (2025) by highlighting a world which increasingly shaped by algorithmic decision-making, where invisible computational architectures guide attention, behavior, and desire. While these systems promise personalization and efficiency, their underlying logics remain largely inaccessible to the individuals who move within them. Cipon’s works linger in this tension between accessibility and concealment, revealing how digital environments are experienced less as transparent tools than as atmospheric conditions—felt, navigated, and adapted to, rather than fully understood. 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘹 foregrounds questions of human agency in an era of computational order. The works ask what it means to act, choose, and imagine freely within systems that anticipate and pre-shape those very actions. By visualizing the structures we rarely see but constantly inhabit, Dede Cipon invites viewers to reflect on their own position within algorithmic frameworks—systems that subtly mediate perception while remaining beyond direct control. — Images (in order of slides): [𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝟬𝟰] 100 x 100 cm Pencil, colour pencil, watercolour, ink, marker, acrylic, vinyl on paper 2025 [𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝟬𝟲] 63 x 100 cm Pencil, coloured pencil, watercolour, ink, marker, acrylic, & vinyl on paper 2025 [𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝟬𝟱] 45 x 80 cm Pencil, colour pencil, watercolour, ink, marker, acrylic, vinyl on paper 2025 [𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝟬𝟯] 75 x 55 cm Pencil, coloured pencil, watercolour, marker, acrylic, vinyl, & spray paint on paper 2025 [𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝟬𝟮] 50 x 50 cm Pencil, coloured pencil, watercolour, marker, acrylic, & vinyl on paper 2025 [𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝟬𝟭] 56 x 76.2 cm Pencil, colour pencil, marker, watercolor & acrylic on paper 2025 — 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀; 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 Solo exhibition by Dede Cipon 6 Dec 2025 - 18 January 2026 Tirtodipuran Link Building A Jl.
