As part of 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴; 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯, Dede Cipon expands the 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘹 series (2025) by highlighting a world which increasingly shaped by algorithmic decision-making, where invisible computational architectures guide attention, behavior, and desire. While these systems promise personalization and efficiency, their underlying logics remain largely inaccessible to the individuals who move within them. Cipon’s works linger in this tension between accessibility and concealment, revealing how digital environments are experienced less as transparent tools than as atmospheric conditions—felt, navigated, and adapted to, rather than fully understood.
𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘹 foregrounds questions of human agency in an era of computational order. The works ask what it means to act, choose, and imagine freely within systems that anticipate and pre-shape those very actions. By visualizing the structures we rarely see but constantly inhabit, Dede Cipon invites viewers to reflect on their own position within algorithmic frameworks—systems that subtly mediate perception while remaining beyond direct control.
