Introducing Eddie Bolton (Parsons ‘26), one of the 20 emerging designers showcasing their work in the ‘26 BFA runway!
Eddie Bolton’s collection “Dust to Defiance” examines loss of boyhood through the lens of transmasculinity, the military, and labor movements. Inspired by 1940’s military and labor uniforms, the collection looks at the exploration of self transmasculine people experience when beginning medical transition, most notably through hypermasculine roles like the military and labor jobs. The collection aims to examine the link between young men entering military service and transmasculine individuals beginning medical transition when it comes to fitting societal roles and the loss of youth imposed upon them.

first assignment of the semester for millinery was a simple cut and sew hat, so i’m filling that deeply neglected dog hat market. i gave myself the personal assignment of trying out some new typeface techniques as well. i’m pleased with how it came out!
