🚨 David Quirk's Comedy Special is out TONIGHT at 5pm. It's a new show concerning all the houses that won’t get built. Metaphorically, spiritually, comedically and literally. Mostly.
Directed by @_brodierocca at @dirtypower_studios

In lieu of comedy being legal now, I, David, will be posting only Solid Gold from the last show I did back in 2017 BC. A time when you’d gather and freely laugh with your mouth wide open, right next to folks. David herein expounds about knocking himself out like a kid. A kid on a skateboard. Thanks again to @stupidold for their hard, good work on this show. @abccomedy
@ikea_australia excuse the language.
This bit is in the new show but don’t lose heart at that or be deterred from cumming to it at the @sydneycomedyfestival on the 17th and 18th of May.
Filmed LIVE at my @melbcomedyfestival weeks back.
Wendy, Elise and Me.
In January I was taken on a tour of various towns in South Australia and the tour was named The Outback Comedy Tour, and this footage is from Robe SA, which is a beach town but let’s put that aside for a moment.
I post this because this gig was a wild one. It was still daylight, the crowd was entirely white and well-to-do and older, and there was a lady named Wendy present in the audience that was an unstoppable force as a vexatious heckling champ of the highest order. Then came Elise, who was the best, and is blind. Watch and wait for the “gritted teeth hand job” bit. It’s ancient and I only bring it out for when I’m on the road to crowds like these for survival but this was one of those gigs that will remain with me. It was a “live’ gig in the truest sense. Thank you to @shannon.thiel for capturing this and for having me on this trip. And @bevkillick rules hard also.
And hank you Elise, and to a lesser extent, Wendy.
(Not shown: The sheer amount of marring Wendy did, or much coherent material)
An amount of people(around three) have quizzed me on where this ramp is. It’s in Bright Vic Oz, where I was borne screaming into this goodly frame o the Earth. For decades what stood in place of this small, brilliant, concrete half pipe was another, larger(six feet high), steel and hectic half pipe that we all(around three) learned all our shit on and thank god. It was like a smaller old Prahran! I was glad to skate it then but it’s not bad it’s gone now. And maybe it’s aging, maybe it’s something else(it’s aging) but this new, quick, tiny ramp is way too small but it’s one of the greatest ramps ever. It’s too small for sure but it’s also perfect. Massive long and wide decks, shade(thank you), perfectly set coping and it’s only four hours from Melbourne! Just four! In a fuel crisis now is the time. Tho the VLINE is free. Bright is in bloom for another little while with its wild autumnal specialties and I’d recommend. I can’t remember who did the first stage of the re do at the skatepark but well done on this ramp at the least. @ralph75@anthonymapstone let’s go to the cuntry.
