Soho Gardens
The residential project, located near the new Holocaust Museum and within close proximity to the city’s port and historic center, presented a unique opportunity, as the surrounding area of Thessaloniki faces critical need for growth and revitalization. In response, we envisioned a landmark building with a distinctive identity to inspire future projects.
Situated at the intersection of Tsorlini and Matzarou streets, the building embraces the creation of a pocket park. This open, safe, and green communal space was a key design decision, intended to benefit both the building's residents and the local neighborhood. The park also enhances the ground-floor commercial spaces, contributing to a vibrant urban environment.
The building’s architecture stands out for its organic and cohesive form, which transitions into two volumes from the fifth floor onward. This division maximizes open facades, views, and natural light for the apartments. As the structure rises, the floors gradually step back, reducing the mass of the building and achieving an outstanding, balanced and human-scaled composition.
Lush greenery is thoughtfully integrated both at the park level and on intermediate terraces, fostering a favorable microclimate. By combining innovative design, advanced materials, and sustainable practices, this contemporary residential complex redefines urban living.
