Decode Group are grateful to have been able to attend the Touched by Christopher Foundations Memorial Gala Dinner on Saturday evening.
Held at the new Doltone House Marconi, Founder & Director of The Touched By Christopher Foundation, and mother to Christopher Cassaniti, Patrizia Cassaniti, pulled together an amazing evening with great food, entertainment and over 540 guests. This event touched everyone’s hearts on what was the eve of Christopher’s 21st birthday.
The Touched by Christopher’s Mission is to be able to assist families who have lost a loved one in a workplace incident in construction in New South Wales.
As a business based on family values of honesty, trust, respect for all and genuine care for people’s safety and wellbeing, we understand the important role we play in keeping our worksites safe and ensuring all workers return home safe at the end of every day. A role we embrace as a moral responsibility above all else.

This program is an initiative of the Property Council’s Diversity and Inclusion Committees throughout Australia. It involves a personal commitment from Property Council members to champion women in their organisation or business sphere, who they believe would benefit from further networking and professional development opportunities. The program aims to accelerate more women into leadership positions in the property industry through sponsorship of high potential talent.

This International Women's Day, Decode Group celebrated by getting together at lunch and discussing what International Women's Day means to us.
Our Managing Director, Divya Mehta shares below what International Women's Day means to her:
"To me, its simple. Most of the bias that exists within us is unconscious bias. With so much unconscious bias, even with the best intent, we form them, unaware of the impact they have on individuals. To me, it is understanding we have those unconscious biases and slowly breaking them down and creating greater awareness. To educate others for a cause, we need to educate ourselves first. Let’s break the bias that exists in us to bring in this change. Let’s call our own behaviours out. Let’s self reflect and break the bias."
Happy International Women's Day to all the amazing Women!

OUR PEOPLE | Staff Anniversaries
We would like to congratulate Deepa Luharuka, Decode Groups Financial Controller, on her 5-year work anniversary.
We asked Deepa what she enjoyed most throughout her journey with Decode.
“What I enjoy most at Decode is that I can make a difference and be part of the change which shows up in the eventual organic growth. I love the family culture – it really feels like extended family, especially when we don’t have any of our own family here in Australia. And most importantly, I love working with our Founder and Chairman, Sam. He is an amazing individual.”
Congratulations on 5 amazing years Deepa! Decode are very lucky to have you.

OUR PEOPLE I Decode Cadets
Kevin Ou Yang joined Decode as a Cadet in September 2021.
Kevin graduated in December 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and Property at UNSW. He has been working within Decode’s design department, and his experience so far, has been very insightful having learnt a plethora of skills, including how the design process works and the importance of design within a construction project.
Kevin shared that during his time thus far at Decode, he has been able to apply what he learned at university and has been expanding his knowledge and skillset firsthand. He is looking forward to learning more and growing personally and professionally with Decode.
The next skill that Kevin would like to work on at Decode is his communication skills. He believes that having strong communication skills is important for building relationships with clients and communicating effectively with subcontractors on site. This skill will prove positive for both Kevin’s professional and personal life.
Once Kevin completes his cadet journey, his preferred career path is to transition into the Contract Administration department and eventually progress to a Project Manager role. His passion to become a Project Manager is driven by the hands-on nature and the uniqueness of every project. Kevin likes the idea of being challenged everyday and working with others to a common goal in completing projects.
Thank you for your commitment to the company Kevin. We look forward to seeing what your future holds at Decode.
