This Thursday at @decodancesf from 730-1030, come celebrate Leon Oakley’s 86th birfday as he performs w/ @gauchojazz . As many of you know, Leon is a legendary legend on cornet and an icon of the SF Bay Area jazz scene. He has played w/many 1rat generation jazz musicians, most notably Pops Foster and Turk Murphy. I’ve been fortunate to play alongside Leon and Gaucho every Thursday night the last 4+ years at DecoDance. It’s such a beautiful room and the music is so magical.
