I like how when the commercial and socials sound teams met me, they were like ‘oh, another sound person again?’ though we know it can be the common jazz 😆 We all coincidentally were on Wisycom systems, so they very graciously let me use the lav mics already on David and Kevin, and their plotted frequencies when the time came. Learn With The Lords - first time working with my mate Luke Newbold couple of weeks back, where this session was streamed on Youtube.
Luke had already setup and trialed a stream before using most of his kit, so I was left in charge of radio/stick mics gain and coordination settings for the stream, and making them all work on the venue’s console and PA against bouncy acoustics (which thankfully all turned out fine in the end!), while Luke is the head of the cameras and stream.
All went smooth and everyone happy.

Great to see one of my favourites for the 2nd time, Incubus (the first time being in 2008) at a really straight up good gig, nostalgia much to learning to play their songs on guitar in my teenage years. Great they played the whole of ‘Morning View’, and then a handful of their old hits (great they dished out Vitamin).
