THE PEOPLES ARTIST: This has becoming too much of a suspicious competition. I never really wanted anybody to purchase anything. Even if they didn’t this competition fails in my book. Thanks for your support..
A Lilith story: A transfer prosthetic from the view of the lovely transfer herself.
There I was a lovely idea in somebody’s head finding out that a talented Makeup Artist (Mathew Smith) in Ireland created me in their shop.
I suddenly had life and I was gonna actually be used on a lovely actress May Calamawy for a movie! I couldn’t wait. Possibly I might be able to meet other prosthetics and hear their stories!
Lee Cronin’s The Mummy certainly had a good number of very interesting and strong make up effects. All those prosthetics used are going to have a boatload of great stories to tell.
Maybe I’ll write a page just on experience on the movie set, but they also wanted to use me during the premiere of the movie! I was excited because I was gonna be traveling from Ireland to United States! I really thought that was the end of my experience for the movie, but this premiere was going to capture a wonderful and beautiful ending. When I took off, they had me in a beautiful little case pinned down securely, so I wouldn’t flop around! The talented Matthew Smith created me beautifully in his Ireland shop and packing me really well for the lovely trip to United States .When I arrived, they actually handed me off to the actress May Calamawy, and she took good care of me.
SFX Makeup Artist, Danny Wagner looked at me carefully, opened up the container and gently pulled out the pins and handled me very lovely and gently making sure it’s the right angle.
When it came time for application, I was pressed on May’s neck only for a few moments, releasing me from the mold I was in. The mold pulled away from me perfectly Mathew Smith beautiful casting /molding techniques worked really well. I was a little worried, I would be stuck in the mold, but he used wonderful release.. Danny proceeded to blend me and added make up and used efficient effects techniques to make me look beautiful and bloody. I was shining! I want to think Blumhouse Studios and Arjen, Tuiten, May
Calamawy, Mathew Smith and Cory Meyer for their support and let me shine one more time for this wonderful premier!
I’m very proud to be a transfer!
Love Lilith,
The neckgina,
The day I worked with the lovely May Calamawy she informed me that she named the transfer.
LILITH I just had a great idea. Or maybe this is done before .. regardless .It would be really neat if makeup artists posted stories about their prosthetics and had each prosthetic telling their story and how it was an experience of being glued onto a certain actor and that prosthetic has her/his own Facebook page with prosthetic and make up stories.!! so without further introduction A Lilith story: A transfer prosthetic from the view of the lovely transfer herself.
