Born and raised in Jerez de la Frontera, graffiti artist Décima Pns has been signing walls since 2000—but with El Puzzle de la Vida, he signs something far deeper: a tribute to the soul of his city. Painted on a monumental 200m² wall, this mural celebrates the invisible yet essential work of volunteers who shape Jerez through solidarity, respect, empathy, and love.
At its heart—literally—is a vivid red organ made of puzzle pieces, each one placed by hands of different skin tones, ages, and backgrounds. These hands don’t just build a heart; they build community. The puzzle pieces are inscribed with the values that define volunteering, while two swallows soar alongside, symbolizing the freedom that comes from giving and receiving help.
Décima describes the mural as a collective achievement: “Its visibility is thanks to all the volunteers who work in different areas of my city. I didn’t expect such great support.” For him, this isn’t just a painting—it’s a way to put Jerez on the cultural map, to honor its people, and to show that art can carry a message as powerful as any monument.
