Best. Day. Ever.
Our favorite day is Reveal Day — when our clients tour their brand new home for the first time. After four years of construction planning, designing, worrying and stressing, this family gets to walk the red carpet up to their very own dream home.
Every drawer is organized, every bed made, the refrigerators stocked, the toothbrushes in their holders. The only thing missing in this home is the family that will bring it alive and create memories here for years to come. It is the joy of our career to provide homes for wonderful, appreciative clients like this kind, young family we have loved working with.

REVEAL DAY! After years of planning and building, it's moments like these that make it all worthwhile! Welcoming home the family that makes it all matter.
Our client requested that each child’s room reflect their individual personality and tastes …. What better way to do that than in the actual space? Watch as we collaborate with our youngest clients
What earns a project a spot in the annual Tahoe Quarterly awards issue?
Sense of place, connection to nature and, always, appropriate design.
The homeowners had worked with designer Caroline Tyler DeCesare on a dozen projects over 20 years. They also had a 25-year history at Lahontan.
Intimacy and familiarity, check.
Everyone agreed the goal was for the house to have an understated, quiet presence on the land yet feel grand on the inside.
Architect Clare Walton used the downward sloping lot to minimize the main structure’s apparent scale and integrate with the landscape.
Meanwhile the soaring great room features 2 fireplaces with steel surrounds; the airy chef’s kitchen seems to float in the treetops.
Wood-clad interiors have textural additions and one-of-a-kind finds like the vintage clock face.
The vibe is refined but fun.
The award-winning formula for this particular Tahoe home? Intimacy + familiarity + respect for place.
