Decay Audio stands with Palestine - The nightlife community stands with Palestine! Please read and share this letter from Australian venues and workers, written in response to Israel's ongoing genocidal assault in Palestine and an increasingly hysterical climate of censorship back home If you work in nightlife, please sign and send it to your colleagues and mates. The link is in my bio, story, and highlights. You can also download the poster art and images to share directly We are especially encouraging venues to endorse this letter by signing and sharing onto their social media pages. This will help create a safer environment for Palestinian events in Australian nightlife, and send a strong message that we stand united and will not be intimidated Thanks to every legend that pitched in to make this letter happen and to @jaccoud_design for the images Free Palestine

Rolling out the artist intros for Friday, welcoming Sydney legend Peter Hollo @cello_raven who will be doing a DJ set at The Vanguard warming up for Eomac. Peter Hollo has presented Utility Fog on FBi Radio since the station’s beginning in 2003. The scope of the show has of course changed over 2 decades, but much of its focus still applies: a fascination with music on the edge of different genres and histories; glitch, noise and experimentation; and of course a love of jungle, breakcore, bass music in general. In the current era, there’s a plethora music from all parts of the globe that’s resonating with and expanding on all these forms of musical expression. As a cellist, composer & producer, since the 1990s Peter has performed and recorded with many bands and musicians in the Eora/Sydney music scene and more broadly Naarm/Melbourne and across the globe. His post-everything electro-acoustic improv band Tangents has a substantial discography with internationally-renowned US label Temporary Residence, Ltd., and his post-metal/doom/postrock ensemble Black Aleph will tour UK & Europe in 2025. Both groups were formed through connections made via Utility Fog. Tickets via link in bio.

@decay.au presents EOMAC on FRI 25 APR Eomac is a project from Irish composer, DJ and producer @ianmcdonnellmusic , releasing genre-spanning electronic music via Planet Mu, The Trilogy Tapes, Bedouin Records, Killekill, Phantom Limb, Emika Records and more. He is one half of the duo Lakker and runs his own label, Eotrax.  Eomac’s sound draws from obscure samples and raw sound design in an ongoing exploration of intense, visceral music for body and soul. He has taken this sound across the globe in numerous live and DJ sets at festivals such as Unsound, Lunchmeat, MIRA and clubs like Berghain, Tresor and Circus Tokyo. An active collaborator he has worked with a long list of musicians including: LAIR, Saint Abdullah, Arad, Paula Temple, Kyoka, MC Yallah, Demian Licht, Sean Carpio, Kamikaze Space Programme, Roger Doyle and many more. His most recent collaboration – with Saint Abdullah and video artist Rebecca Salvadori, under the moniker ‘A Forbidden Distance’ – was debuted at Berlin Atonal’s ‘OPENLESS’ in summer of 2024 and has since been performed at Unsound and Semibreve to much acclaim. Eomac will be supported by Peter Hollo (DJ) (@cello_raven ), LANDFILL (@illbay1er ) + @jungist__

Excited to host one of our favourites, Eomac @ianmcdonnellmusic at The Vanguard at the end of the month for a night of extremely serious, abrasive, and out there IDM and left-field techno. Introducing our headliner for tomorrow night, the legendary DJ Marcelle ❤️ Although DJ Marcelle has been collecting music longer than most of us have been alive, she still feels like The Netherlands’ sweetheart. She’s an artist with a mischievous, rule-bending and almost ironic approach to her DJing, producing and radio hosting – cut with her trademark wit yet supported by an unquestionable amount of skill. Well known for her three-turntable setup, DJ Marcelle makes compositions out of songs and symphonies out of mixes – colliding disparate genres, appropriated vocal snippets and warped soundscapes into a giant Frankenstein-like melting pot. Her performances are inventive, euphoric and above all powerful.” in Resident Advisor Tickets via link in bio.

Excited to welcome back @eal.ng supporting DJ Marcelle this Friday. One of the country’s more enigmatic figures, ealing is an electronic artist whose corrosive, maximalist style absorbs the sounds of the Internet and presents them on new terms. Their style spans bass, techno, hip-hop, ambient, and hyperpop in a fully cohesive manner through their distinct production, raucous DJ sets and captivating live performances. kisseswhipthevision is their conceptual second EP, world-building in a probable ecological future in a maximalist sonic exploration of counter-cartography and counter-tech approaches. Across its eight tracks, kisseswhipthevision is like a creased signal back in time: a radio transmission folding along ghostly invisible waves. ealing’s dense palette and singular approach has seen extensive support from NTS Radio, triple j, Mix Mag Australia, Hong Kong Community Radio, FBi Radio, as well as artists such as Iglooghost and Ninajirachi. Nominated for FBi Radio’s Next Big Thing in 2023, ealing has since supported the likes of Vegyn, Cakes da Killa, MC Yallah, Danielle, and Pangea, as well as played at Cockatoo Island’s Mode Festival 2024.

Opening the dance this Friday will be E3P @e3p___ Hyper specific and responsive to the brief,E3P is consistently inconsistent, pedantic and fastidious - the finer details in their sets are intentional and utterly compelling. From electroacoustic polyrhythms to dubstep, ambient to bass driven experimental club, E3P is a digital crate digger guided by incongruity, intricacies, and impact irrespective of genre. Host to shows on Hong Kong Community Radio, and Sydney’s FBi Radio, they draws from a depth of research and personal nostalgia to deliver storied selections to their audiences online, and in the thick of the night. Testament to their calibre and range, E3P has supported the likes of Djrum, Vegyn, Mechatok, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U and Lorenzo Senni. Playing across the country’s east coast, they’ve shared stages at Miscellania’s Absorbed, Soft Centre, Infinity Worm, and Cockatoo Island’s Mode Festival. Keeping company with Korean crew ASIA CRIME SAD, E3P reaches far beyond so-called Australia.
