HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY to our founding member, the uber-talented Ms Joanne Seow! @joanne.sys 🎉🍾🫶🏻 When she isn’t dancing, she’s bouldering, eating kway teow soup (without taugay), chasing for receipts, feeding her tortoises, hanging from random heights, painting the skies yellow, or telling everyone she used to be in a choir! That’s why we love her so much!
Tell her how much you love her in the comments and catch her in DECA’s next feature film premiering soon!
FINAL WEEK - after spending almost every waking moment with each other, this week feels like it mirrored the topic of our research and the theme of our show. What can we do for each other and for ourselves before we have to say to goodbye?
Thank you for being such gracious and personable hosts @hsuwallydance , open-heartedly sharing your spaces, food, friends, family (and cats) with us, we truly appreciate the warmth and friendship that you layered our entire experience with. 感恩 🥹
八月見!
WEEK 2 - Taiwan Residency in Kaohsiung
This week has been nothing but enriching and inspiring; to feel the warmth of Kaohsiung, their dancers and to be able to germinate ideas and movement in such a fertile safe space @southernjump.openspace
to continue digging deeper into the question of the time we have remaining, and to investigate it from multiple lenses.
Week 3 is our final week where we will head back to Taipei to focus on consolidating our research findings and focus on choreography. Stay tuned!
WORKSHOP - Thank you for moving with us yesterday where @rachellumrx shared the company movement language and textural tendencies. I hope everyone had fun exploring your dance language and a taste of her choreographies; No Corners & Cloud 9
Thank you to @hsuwallydance & @southernjump.openspace for having and hosting us, and connecting us to such a precious community of passionate dancers!
WEEK1 of our creative, cross-cultural residency with our friends from @hsuwallydance in Taipei 🇹🇼 Connected and danced with students from @utdance_studentassociation , spent hours in the studio with @hsuwally@cheng38@017_lin discussing and exploring through ideas and movement, explored the alleyways of local markets and had so much street food and bubble tea, and delivered decasilver to loveliest folks at 富林 nursing home.
NEXT STOP - Kaoshiung
OMAKASE is Decadance Co’s signature performance-experience series. For this edition, we are partnering with *SCAPE to offer a special expanded experience. This presentation features four choreographers — Joanne Seow, Oh Jia Hao, Jack Ng, and Joseph Chua — each creating an original 10–12-minute duet. These distinct works will be spliced and interwoven into one full-length performance, exploring ideas of trust, flow, and collective creation — a choreographic omakase of sorts. 📍*SCAPE, THE WHITE SPACE, L3

2025, THANK YOU for treating us kindly with all your love and warmth. Another year where we are lucky to be able to do what we love, for the people we love, in the spaces we love. And while we are proud of every achievement we’ve accomplished in 2025, it’s the challenges we’ve overcome together, keeping us together, that we want to celebrate.
Thank you DECAfam, you were there for us yet another year. See you in 2026!
