Made it out of the snow and over to the desert…amazing how quickly the landscape (and weather) changes here. Had a peaceful morning dip in a hot springs (sound up to hear the birds!), got back to the camper to find it had a flat. Thankful one of us knows what to do about that. 😆

Rainy day, which turned to snow on our way up and out of the canyon. Ended up too slippery even with chains, so we decided to hunker down and wait it out on the side of the road. (Sounded better than waiting it out in a ditch😅). Glad to have everything we need along with us including a nice cozy heater. 🔥

Views near our campsite in the Owyhee Canyonlands. I can’t believe I’ve lived in Oregon for three decades and have never been over here. Love this wild, rugged place. 🗻🗻🗻
Finally made it to the Painted Hills, one of the 7 Wonders of Oregon. Enjoyed the Bristly Fiddlenecks dotting the hillside as well—such a cool shape! (Learning native wildflowers one plant at a time!☺️) 🌼🌼🌼

Out exploring the wilds of Eastern Oregon for a springtime getaway. First campsite along the way: Ochoco National Forest. Loving all the Ponderosa pine and Juniper (and Doug fir, but we’ve got plenty of that in Portland!) Also—pup sure is in store for a warm-weather trim-a-roo!🌲💚🌲
