The only way Mr. Herschel would go out in the blizzard, in his @heylittlechonk backpack!! It was his first time and it took a little getting used to. The steady stream of treats helped. @madmax_fluffyroad
This was taken a few years ago by @thedogist Here's Herschel wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. He's also open to being anyone's Valentine as long as there's a treat involved.
"I have a dream today...This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning: "My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring." And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true."
What would Dr. King say if he woke up in today's America? This certainly is not the sweet land of liberty he envisioned. This is certainly not the country where "they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
This is a difficult time. And it's hard to stay engaged with it all. Our nervous system's are in hyperdrive. But we owe it to ourselves. We owe it to our friends who are being pulled out of their cars and homes and shoved in cages. We owe it to our neighbors who are being shot in the streets. And we owe it to Dr. King and all of the fighters for freedom upon whose shoulders we all stand.
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up, live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal.""

I have wanted a change for a long time now. I’ve been talking with @shaunsurething about it for many many months. Halloween felt like the perfect day. Say hello to my bixie!! It’s a bob and a pixie. I will certainly miss my braids, but I am looking forward to lightness, sassiness and not having footlong hair EVERYWHERE!!! 🤣 Thanks so much to @turnorburn_ladyhairnyc for creating the perfect new look for me!!
