Addis Ababa โ [03 June 2025] The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Belgium, Luxembourg, Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific CBL ACP and theย Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associationsย (AACCSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening collaboration and promoting trade and investment opportunities for mutual benefits.

The MoU was signed by two senior officials of the private sectors from both sides Mr. Thomas De Beule, Commercial Director of CBL ACP, and Mrs. Zahara Mohammed, President of AACCSA, marking a milestone in the commitment of two organizations to enhance economic, technical and business cooperation.

The agreement outlines a framework for enhanced economic cooperation between the two organizations, with the goal of supporting member companies and advancing sustainable development across key sectors including trade, industry, agriculture and technology.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in promoting closer economic ties between Ethiopia and the Benelux region.
The Embassies of Ethiopia and Belgium in Brussels and Addis Ababa closely coordinated to facilitate this process paving the way for dynamic, long-term cooperation.
Together with HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium ๐ง๐ช at the Official reception during the Belgian Economic Mission to Brazil ๐ง๐ท in Sao Paulo.

I had the pleasure to formalize our collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CBL-ACP and Eurocham Nigeria. This partnership marks an important step toward deepening trade and investment ties between Nigeria and the BelgiumโLuxembourg business community.
The MoU reflects our shared commitment to fostering structured B2B engagement, supporting market access, and creating tangible opportunities for businesses on both sides.
This strategic alignment also sets a strong foundation for the upcoming NigeriaโBelgiumโLuxembourg Business Forum 2026 in Brussels, where we aim to translate this partnership into concrete results.

It was a privilege to engage with high-level representatives from the official delegation of the President of Nigeria at the NigeriaโUK Business Forum ๐ณ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ง during this historic visit to the United Kingdom, held at the invitation of His Majesty King Charles III. Together with Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy of Nigeria, H.E. Hannatu Musa Musawa for a strategic meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Nigeria and the BelgiumโLuxembourg region ๐ณ๐ฌ๐ง๐ช๐ฑ๐บ.
The meeting centered on advancing Nigeriaโs Vision 2030 agenda, particularly the positioning of Nigeria as a leading tourism and cultural destination. Discussions explored how Belgium and Luxembourg can serve as strategic gateways for promoting Nigeriaโs rich cultural heritage, creative industries, and tourism investment opportunities to a broader European audience.
We examined opportunities for structured collaboration in tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and private sector engagement. Particular emphasis was placed on leveraging the Nigeria Belgium Luxembourg Business Forum 28-30 October 2026 in Brussels as a high-level platform to showcase Nigeriaโs creative economy and attract European partners.
An invitation was extended to Minister Musawa to attend and contribute to the 2026 Forum, where Nigeriaโs tourism vision and investment opportunities could be presented to policymakers, investors, and business leaders from across the Benelux region.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen bilateral engagement and translate discussions into tangible initiatives that support sustainable growth in tourism and the creative economy.
