Five years (and about 100 pounds) ago, my kids pulled off one of the greatest birthday surprises of my life—and I got to meet Detroit Red Wings legend Darren McCarty!! ❤️
There’s just something unforgettable about meeting someone who’s been part of so many great memories as a fan. It was an experience that felt bigger than the day itself—and one I’ll always remember fondly!
To this day, it remains one of my all-time favorite birthdays!
