Ghana have to run this back (get it? No? Ok 😐) Medase, Ghana ❤️ Slide 1: Osu castle courtyard / stairway. The courtyard was used for trade (gold, sugarcane, guns and enslaved people). The middle stairway was reserved for the president and others on the sides for distinguished guests. I’m sure you can guess which I took 🤭 Slide 2: Photo taken at my very gorgeous residence. Slide 3: The entrance to Osu castle / Christiansborg castle. Slide 4: The dungeon where female enslaved people were imprisoned. The light source on top of the dungeon was closed off because a church was built on top of the dungeon while one of the greatest crimes against humanity was being committed right beneath. Slide 5: The dungeon where male enslaved people were imprisoned. At some point this tiny space housed 160 people but the numbers increased as the business boomed. Slide 6: Watching the waves. This was a major trade point for the Danes, Portuguese, British etc. Slide 7: Office of late President Jerry John Rawlings. Slide 8: Now renamed “the door of return” served as the last exit out of home many enslaved people saw before they were shipped off to the worst fates. Slide 9: Point of movement Slide 10: Walking through the Osu garden. Slide 11: Visited Asomdwe park and paid my respects to late President John Evans Fiifi Atta-Mills. Slide 12: Just two tall girls hanging out 🤭 Slide 13: Yeah, these are evil birds. WHY DO GEESE HAVE TEETH???!! WHY DO THEY HISS?! WHY DO THEY CHASE?! 😭😭 Slide 14: Somewhere being shady Slide 15: Stopped by Abajo culture and art cafe for some banku, okro and grilled tilapia. Very pretty space 🥰 Slide 16: Last minute stop to the Arts centre for some shopping!
