911 911 help community! Dog abuse!! Two FIVE-MONTH-OLD black lab mix puppies are locked up in a barn in Riverside. A Good Samaritan stepped in and was allowed to give them food and clean water. These two pups are surrounded by feces and green dirty water. The owners don’t want them and if we cannot find a place by tomorrow, they are going to release them in the open field. They are just babies. They don’t need to go together. We need to find a temp or long term foster. We will provide food and take them to the vet. The Good Samaritan is willing to drive them to a safe location Please help!

Theodore had his ACL surgery. He did very well and is home on his way to recovery. This has not been possible without the help of our donors, life 4 paws, his foster and the orthopedic team at mid valley animal hospital. Theodore says Woof ❤️

Happy Tails Alert!!! Our wonderful Ally was adopted by a great family. Ally’s original parents had some medical issues, and we were honored to help them find the best home for their beloved golden girl. After several applications, interviews, meet and greet, Ally has chosen this family to grow with. We could not be happier for everyone. Its is not easy to surrender your dog and best friend. It takes a lot of love and strength to understand that they will do much better in a different environment. Not because they will love them more, but because they will enrich their lives a little more than they already are. Stephanie LaMotta, Founder of Death Row Dogs Rescue, has dedicated her life to this calling for over 40 years. Over this four decades she noticed the ones others passed by, the ones that were abused, the ones that were left behind, the ones that people disposed of, the ones that were fighting an illness, the ones that were bred to fight with each other, for food, for survival —the trembling shape behind a dumpster, the old muzzle pressed against a shelter gate, the eyes that had learned not to hope too loudly. Where the world saw strays, problems, or statistics, she saw individuals. Each dog had a story, and she believed none of them deserved to end in fear, but in a loving home. To the dogs, this rescue has been safety. Stephanie along with her village were the first kind hand after cruelty, the steady voice after chaos. Many of them would never remember the streets or the cages—only the warmth of a home, the sound of laughter, the certainty of being wanted. That was her quiet victory. She gave her life to rescuing dogs, and in return, they gave her a purpose as loyal and enduring as love itself which was probably the reason why she lived everyday paralyzed glued to a bed dictating to her phone if a home was approved or not. In the end, her unconditional dedication is not being measured in numbers, but in lives changed. In dogs who learned to trust again. In families made whole by four-legged companions who might never have survived without her. Death Row Dogs will continue. Our beautiful Chippy is still in boarding and has received some needed training. We would like to find a good solid, committed foster or foster to adopt for our little girl. She was rescued from our local West Valley Animal Shelter and lost her foster family right after. She was with our temporary emergency foster for several weeks until we sent her for board and train. She is a very sweet girl who needs to be the ONLY dog in the home. No other pet friends. No children. She would thrive in a home with a single person or a couple who can give her lots of attention and exercise. She guards her food bowl, and toys. XENA is a shepherd/husky mix who is about 4yo and was rescued from West Valley about a year ago by @deathrowdogsrescue . Since then, she has been in the same foster home. But, it hasn’t been an ideal situation and now that their schedules are changing the rescue needs to re-home Xena by 12/1 so she doesn’t end up in a boarding facility. Here is how her current foster mom describes her: “Xena is so sweet and such a happy dog. She was in play group at the shelter and her notes said that she prefers not to play with other dogs and keeps to herself. We have been working with her reactivity towards other dogs when on leash and she’s improved a lot and is so much better. She needs a dog savvy person as she has some resource guard issues with food and toys. She likes to play with toys, but you have to let her drop it rather than grabbing while she has it. She is good walking on leash and wants to please, she loves to be pet and thinks she’s a lap dog She loves all people. She would do best as an only dog or could possibly be ok with the right dog with proper introduction and time/patience. We think she’s great, but we have 3 other small pets and have to crate her most of the time and it’s not fair to her. She does have a high prey drive and we have a bunny that lives in the same room so they are crated and rotated. And now our schedules have changed and we can’t give her the time and freedom she needs and deserves.” Please help us share Xena so we can find her the right foster or adopter. Our beautiful girl Xena will be losing her foster home at the end of the month, and we need her to go to a save foster, foster to adopt home where she can continue to stay safe and blossoming. We do not believe in putting our dogs in boarding unless is the last resort or if they need training. Happy Tails News!!!! This is a very special girl. Cookie has had some lemons thrown her way, and despite the bitter she has tasted in her mouth, she has made the sweetest lemonade. Cookie was saved on New Year’s Eve 10 minutes before losing her life. We got a call, a determined young woman who knew this dog was special. She had a fostered lined up ready to take her. So we tagged this little girl. Cookie was a dog that spent all her life in a cage in an apartment while being bred. She was confiscated/surrendered to the West Valley animal shelter where she was miss-labeled, miss-handled, and ultimately given a last day. She was also taken advantage of a “trainer” who starved her and took thousands of dollars we all had raised for her. At the end she didn’t need the training some claimed she did. She went to her trainer Victor, someone who knew her from the shelter and kept her safe, he worked correcting her leash reactivity and still does to this day. To her original foster family, thank you for loving her so much and showing her that life is full of treats for this Cookie Monster. To West Valley Animal Shelter Volunteers we thank you for all you pour into saving Cookie. Despite what they said she was “vicious” “dangerous” “a liability” “aggressive” you knew she was the opposite and we have all proved them wrong. To her current foster, Stephen, you are the perfect foster. You gave her time to decompress, to adjust, to trust, and to love unconditionally with her flaws. You stood by her and have showed her nothing but an amazing life. Cheers to your grand day. Cookie is officially your dog! and more than that, she is your companion.
