Thrilled to finally share the album cover I had the opportunity to work on for some super cool people, Austin, Texas' very own @trouble_in_the_streets !
They reached out a while back and asked if I'd be interested in creating the art for their upcoming full length album. Of course I was interested. I was more than happy for the chance to explore and implement more 3d modeling into my work. I used a variety of software, such as Gravity Sketch and Adobe Medium to achieve the final results with the 3d models. I got some great help with the renders from the amazing @onumimusic . The final layout was sent off for print so I'm really hoping to get a hard copy in hand. This was great fun to work on and I hope to do much more 3d work like this in the future. Super happy with the results. What do you think?

Had a great time at Astronox music festival this past weekend. Thank you @thirdcoastbodhi ! I broke from my norm of painting animals that I see at home. I saw this bird in a book and just thought it looked so rad that I wanted to paint it. Th Secretary bird is endemic to Africa and is a threatened species. It just so happens that the ranch where the festival took place breeds and helps restore animal populations to their native lands including Africa. I just thought that was a neat coincidence.

We have some salamander-looking creatures about the size of an earthworth that live in our yard. I have yet to catch one but that's not for lack of trying. They are quite fast little wigglers. I wanted to show my appreciation for them by immortalizing one on this skate deck.

Digital to analog conversion of a procreate sketch that I summoned into the physical realm. I took a few liberties with the translation and I'm pretty happy with the result.
