Swipe for the details on @boomboomhiller ’s custom Emmys suit ➡️ Jeff came to me with just one requirement: bubblegum pink. We found the perfect sequin-covered bouclé chenille tweed in the dreamiest shade and lined it in a soft- ivory silk charmeuse.
We kept the silhouette sharp and classic: single-breasted with notch lapels, double vent, and wide-leg pleated trouser, but the details are what took it next-level:
• Nearly 200 clustered pearls, hand-stitched along the lapels, patch-pocket edges, and sleeve cuffs
• Every stripe and weave mirrored from left to right, lining up perfectly along the seams (my tailoring nerds get it)
• Cuffs cut with the stripes perpendicular for a crisp, almost outerwear finish
A million thanks to Jeff for trusting me with his first Emmy suit (and another million congrats on his Emmy WIN 🏆) and to the styling dream team @spriggs_sa , @itsamandalim , and @lucakingston for pulling the whole vision together.
Somebody threw away the most beautiful red cowhide remnant, so obviously I snatched it and turn it into a corset.
Part one of the process, more to come 🫶🏻
Thank you @kateeberstadt for being my impromptu model 😘🖤
Part two of the process behind the corset I made from someone’s discarded leather: the lining, structure, and hardware behind this trash-to-treasure journey.
I loved showing a little behind the scenes of what I’m up to in the studio, so much more to come 🫶🏻
Four months in and I’m still building and rearranging, but so happy with my new studio!
Incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this space what it is, especially when that meant moving everything, sourcing new furniture (hello 5’ x 6’ cutting table!!), and talking me through a million and a half layout revisions.
And a huge thank you to @arts14c for the opportunity to grow into this studio, and to my clients for keeping me busy enough to justify it 💖💖
Excited for what’s next!
After nearly five years in my 300 sqft studio (and thousands of outfits, samples, and creations) Dear Tyler is upgrading to a 1,175 sqft atelier 🪡💫
This next chapter comes with more space, more light, and so much room for growth.
Thank you to every client, performer, stylist, and friend who’s believed in me. I’m so excited for you to follow along as I create my dream studio.
Bonus: I can finally turn around without knocking over a dress form. Hello growth!
Made this cozy set from @united business class blankets, complete with a built-in sleep mask and zippered pockets. What are my odds of manifesting an upgrade when I wear this on my next flight? Asking for a fashion icon. ✈️🪡🧵
@boomboomhiller stuns in custom Dear Tyler at the 2025 Emmys 🏆💗 So honored to create this suit for Jeff’s first Emmy nomination.
Huge thanks to Jeff and @spriggs_sa for trusting me to bring a little pink-and-pearl magic to the carpet.
Stay tuned for a closer look at the details in a separate post 👀
LA styling team: @itsamandalim@lucakingston
31 scarves + zero cuts = zero waste and one dramatic gown 🪡 Upcycled from chiffon scarves from @amfar ’s 2025 Cannes Gala, where each scarf was wrapped around an invitation and hand-delivered to guests at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
Swipe through to see how they began their journey from gala invitations to this patchwork gown that I sewed together without making a single cut and while preserving every original rolled hem.
Scarves designed by @eventrepublicstudio and @cecinewyork in collaboration with amfAR and generously gifted to me by @p.a.west from amfAR’s global events team. I had such a great time reimagining them and giving them new life 🧡💛🤎
I had a dream (nightmare?) over the weekend where I created a Labubu hoodie like this so obviously had to make it happen IRL.
It’s called fashion, I guess? 💁🏻♂️🤔
