A song about going home alone as a woman in the night and all the feelings that come up within that experience, the feeling of being constantly on edge with every sound you hear or figure you perceive, ready to run. But the night itself is so beautiful, dark and calm, and is not the source of our worries. As women we feel we can never really enjoy it, out of fear. Men haunt, the night does not.

Some songs are totally new, birthed by us as current Dear Omen formation, and some songs you’ve heard already in their different shapes throughout the years in our live shows and played by multiple hands. It feels so good to have laid them down as they have become and to and bring them out above water.

Dear Omen combineert onheilspellende orgels met zware bas en harde drums en groeit uit tot een van de meest boeiende gothicrockacts van Nederland.
Nils Keppel presenteert met ‘Super Sonic Youth’ een rauw en compromisloos geluid, waarin riffs en organische drums samenkomen in een tijdloos, generatie-gedreven geheel.

This song is for all women, girls and anyone who this resonates with. For everyone who knows the feeling of constant hypervigilance, angst, fear, forced caution, whenever moving in the night. Unable to go home, to travel, to even take a walk in the park in peace and calm. This song has had a long run and has finally flourished into its full bloom.
