Dear Mal: The Show | May 3rd, 2026
I answered the call. a creative calling that God gave me as a child. a idea that began as unanswered questions in a old notebook, to college interviews in ATL, to film & art pa gigs in LA, to a dream come true in a room full of my tribe & community. 🥹
I was inspired by Free & AJ from 106 & Park as hosts and Ice Cube & Issa Rae as producers, writers, & the talent of their own work, creating stories that matter to us & our communities the most.
we all have a story that we can learn from &/or relate to. it’s what connects us & humanizes our experiences. not just artists & entrepreneurs, but everyday ppl. all in which I intend to interview moving fwd.
I was able to coordinate, produce, promote, & execute this vision within a month. but what made this experience sincerely a dream come true was the ppl who believed in me & supported me w/o any hesitation. I trusted each person to show up w 1 or more of their gifts & they we all amazing.
my 1st event & production sold out. everyone who was supposed to be in that room was present & meant to be there.
this evening was not just about me & the story that birth my clothing brand
@dearmal.co it was a celebration & reflection of the growth that we made individually to be able to collaborate together.
unfortunately I didn’t get a picture w each of them this night. but I look fwd to creating & collaborating w each of them in their own creative callings in the future too.
