Do you ever respond to a random Craigslist post and then you're playing a Thursday show at a bar in the suburbs a few weeks later?
I heard these Sungrazer people are pretty good too. Also excited to see what the hell our touring companion has cooked up as well. I don't think he has Instagram
p.s. we are pretty close to out of foam swords? What happens if we run out? Does the world end?
Philly! Thanks for choosing to come hang out at Bonk’s over a ton of other things happening Saturday night! I’d ask if it was worth it, but I already know. Every band slayed and you all were so into it! Couldn’t have asked for a better crowd.
.
Thanks to The Car Bomb Parade and Owned By Assholes for taking the trip out for their first Philly show. We can’t wait to have you back. Also, big thanks to Philly’s own Seeing Snakes and Dear Future Archaeologists for making their Bonk’s and #bethescene debut!
.
Next Bonk’s show is 5/21. It’s a ska show and we are celebrating my birthday/kicking off a holiday weekend! Be there 🏁🏁🏁.

SHOW UPDATE!
.
Unfortunately, Burning Hag had to drop from our show tomorrow night due to sickness 😢. We were looking forward to seeing them and will be sure to line them up for a future show!
.
Luckily, we were able to replace them with Philly band Dear Future Archeologists, who will be bringing you a pirate-punk rock opera 🏴☠️.
.
This show promises to be wild, unique, and exactly where you should be Saturday night! Let’s do this!

LONG RANGE PIRATE RAID ALERT!
DFA getting out of the house? Out of Philly? Out of the STATE? ALL THE WAY TO BROOKLYN!? Unheard of.
Super honored to open for Scarboro to celebrate the release of their incredible, potent, timely album "Hate Season". What a wild ride.
The morning yew (Ivus catharistes) is a species of evergreen tree in the family Taxaceae. Like other yews, it is very long-lived, with some individuals reaching several hundred years of age.
Over their lifespan, morning yews produce a dark, viscous fluid called melanichor, also known as pitchblood. It consists primarily of alkaloids, long-chain hydrocarbons, and organometallic compounds and contains heavy metals at 200-1000 times their concentration in the surrounding soil. Melanichor is formed in the heartwood during growth and flows towards the roots through specialized xylem cells, where it is secreted by the root apical meristem.
Morning yews are remarkable for their extensive root systems, thought to be the deepest of any land plant. In 2013, a team of researchers conducted exploratory core drilling near several large morning yews; they continued to report fragments of live root in bedrock fissures until bottoming out the drill at 1,500 ft (457 m). The maximum depth of morning yew root systems remains unknown.
