Tres noches de intensa música, éxitos, historias y mucha complicidad fue lo que se vivió en el Hollywood Bowl de Los Ángeles con la presentacion de la legendaria banda "Earth, Wind & Fire" fueron tres noches consecutivas y muy intensas para la grabación del especial de televisión de CBS "A GRAMMY Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire Live: The 21st Night of September". El momento contó con algunos invitados especiales, algunas presentaciones fueron pregrabadas, todas geniales pero particularmente la de Janelle Monáe se me hace encantadora, la versión de "That's The Way Of The World" entra en el grupo limitado de las mejores versiones que he escuchado en estos últimos. La participación de Monáe, en un evento de tan alto nivel y prestigio, al tratarse de un homaneja a una banda tan legendaria y de tanto impacto mundial, demuestra que ella se viene moviendo en la industria musical con mucho reconocimiento y relevancia. Alli también estuvo Jon Bastiste, cantando "Can't Hide Love". Stevie Wonder contó algunas anécdotas interesantes e improvisó un poco de "September" al piano. Los Jonas Brothers recordaron a su padre tocando Earth, Wind & Fire cuando eran niños, un momento con un toque nostálgico que le dio mucho color a la versión que hicieron de "Shining Star". Es muy interesante ver en diferentes entrevistas la participación de gente muy joven.
