“In 2020, when Shelton first put up a blog post naming me as one of a selection of drag queens to keep away from children, I didn’t give it much thought. I wish I had,” recalls our publisher Dean (aka @frockhudson ) in this opinion piece.
“The two pictures that Shelton continues to share online and in repeated press releases and blog posts are not ones I am ashamed of.
“While I do perform children’s entertainment in drag, that isn’t all I do; I also perform for adults and proudly live my life as a gay man. I know, shocking, I have range.
“The entertainment I perform for adults is not the same as that which I perform for children. When Shelton conflates the two as the same thing, he intentionally misrepresents what I do and makes me a greater target.”
