We’re all incredibly excited to be a part of the “Undercurrents” immersive experience in the redwoods of Oakland on Sunday May 24th, alongside so many other incredible visionary artists.
In a diverse and expansive celebration of body and light, I’ll be presenting my “Ventricular Entropy” audio visual installation that premiered last month at the “Heart & Mind” exhibition, using recorded heartbeats and @touchdesigner projected visuals to open a dialogue about the human experience of inner anxiety and the effects of the outer world on the mind and body.
I’ll also be playing various flutes and Fujara in collaboration with @sadiegreyduck on upright bass, as well as accompanying various poets throughout the evening.
This is sure to be a one of a kind event not to be missed, and we all look forward to seeing you in ritual mindset at the grove. DM for location, leave no trace.

The “Ventricular Entropy” installation investigates the relationship between the heart and mind by using recorded heartbeat audio to drive a visual particle cloud and heart-like 3D model made with Touchdesigner software to pulse and contract with the rate of the heart. As abrasive external sonic textures are gradually introduced, the rate of the heart increases in synchronicity. The faster the heart rate gets the faster the particle cloud and 3D model pulse, turning from a pale white veil to a deep golden hue at its tempo peak. This cycle of contraction and expansion opens up a dialogue about the human experience of inner anxiety and the effects of the outer world on the mind and body.
