New Jersey’s Two River Theater (@tworivertheater ) and Deaf West Theatre (@deafwest ) will join forces to give a world premiere to Ivan Menchell (@ivanmenchell ) and Caroline Kay’s (@carolinekay117 ) musical Elephant Shoes (@elephantshoesmusical ) next summer, but Playbill has a first listen to one of the songs.

Calling deaf, CODA and fluent signer performers, ages 9 and up, for a two-week workshop reading of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND this summer at @newyorkstageandfilm . Directed by Bill Rauch in collaboration with @pac_nyc , @lwentertainment , and Deaf West Theatre.
ASL welcomed. Sign, sing, or both, whatever fits the role. All races and ethnicities welcome. Travel and housing covered for cast, with a parent or guardian also covered for kid performers.
