As the prophecy predicted, the prodigal son of a killer on the drums was destined to wash ashore off the Providence River from a distant island. For generations prospect percussionists swore they were the one to fulfill the prophecy, and time and time again they were proven unworthy. But one day everything changed. On the cusp of the new century, after 9 months of double kicks inside the womb, young Alexander was born. Now it would be almost two decades before the fateful night when the prophecy came true. On his first ferry ride from Long Island to Rhode Island, the captain was blinded by fog and crashed the boat into an iceberg away from shore dying on impact. Capsized and stranded, Lex knew what he had to do. Leaving behind only a police officer, Alex swam with all the babies, the elderly, and the able bodied holding onto a cymbal stand between his teeth like a sweet rose of heroism. Guided by the distant shape of a big blue bug, Alex treaded up the PVD river delivering his passengers to safety. Once on land himself, there was no question he was the chosen one and it was only a matter of time before taking his talents to the local DIY scene. Now we are fortunate enough to share a brotherhood with this seaman and could not be more grateful for him. We love you Alex thanks for being an animal on the kit. Come celebrate with us at Omen Skate Shop tonight and wish him (and moth hehe) a very happy birthday 🖤

23 years ago today, the almighty arbiter of life scratched it’s head at what to create out of the newly formed vessel of a babe. Just one year and two days before, perfection as the world knew it was achieved. The creator knew they could do better: a pinch of sugar, a little bit of spice, the mane of a lion. Something was still missing. It was then as God scoured through the vast collection of human ingredients, the babe let out the most beautiful yet bloodcurdling scream they had ever heard. The creator’s meaty hand could not help but flinch, spilling the entire bottle of Micheal Jackson’s sex appeal onto the baby. There was no way to undo what had been done, and God feared what he created. This baby would grow into the musical powerhouse that is our singer/guitarist/brother Cam Young. We’re incredibly lucky to share a powerful connection of friendship and passion for music with this man and we love him very much. Rumor has it when the moon comes out on July 26th every year his right hand starts to glow. Come find out and wish Cam a happy birthday at our show tonight at the Commune 🖤🖤🖤

Legend has it, ‘twas on this day that a sweet cherub flying high above the ozone layer was struck in the wings by a bolt of blue lightening. Once the tot plummeted to the earth in a fireball hotter than the concept of passion itself, leaving behind the crater we only now know as the Grand Canyon, he went into hyper sleep, not to be awoken until the turn of the second millennium. Once salvaged, the boy was given the ancient name “Placens Aurium,” but became better known by his human title, “Caleb.” While the military attempted to use his powers for evil, Caleb was rescued to be raised in the world famous territory of Connecticut. His magic fingers have since brought to you the riffs and melodies we hold so dear. He also lets us use his basement to practice in so lemme get a hell yeah brother for that. Be sure to celebrate the pure soul we’ve all come to admire and love in 2 days at The Commune show.

Underground Experience is heading east for our last summer show before the festival! On July 28th we’ve got an early start at Omen Skate, with 7 bands each having their own take on a genre with a long legacy. Between Skramz, Screamo, Emoviolence, Melodic Hardcore, and even Metalcore their is something here for everybody! Make sure to get there at 6:00 to see every band and I can’t wait to see you Rhode Island!!
