As always, 25% of each sale (half of the press’s income) is set aside for donation. And we’ve now landed on a recipient: Youth Outright near Ellen’s hometown of Asheville, NC. This organization empowers Queer and Trans youth (ages 11-24) with a focus on gender, racial, and disability justice.
Ellen recommended them after having seen the good work they did last year after Hurricane Helene. They receive no state or federal funding, and we are proud to help support them in this small way.

As a solar eclipse arrives in the sign of the Virgin, I’m excited to announce that Ellen Boyette’s LOCAL VIRGIN OF IMPRESSION is now available! No pre-order delays this time around, as I’ll be sending the books out weekly as orders come in. Order at the DMP website or simply DM me here with your mailing address, then I’ll tell you how to pay.
Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing sample poems and an interview with Ellen, and there will be an online reading coming later as well. So be on the look out for more updates soon. Among the news to come, *you will also learn of a second surprise book release coming this fall from a writer yet to be revealed*. So stay tuned!
