MUTS PRINTS
Around this time 2 years back, I got up with a duo that never ceases to amaze me in this slightest. @333.333.333zzz airbrushed these tees after @elijahmaura blessed the cotton with some fresh Ink in the @muts_prints Queens studio —just homies, paint, and purpose. I believe it was drizzling a little that day and they had been cheffing up all day before I even arrived. No big plans, just a need to create and express what we love.
When I released them at last year’s barbecue, ”Not Another Cook Out”, it felt like more than a drop—it was a celebration of growth, persistence, and culture.
Creating, no matter what’s happening around us, keeps the spirit alive and nourished. It reminds us of who we are and where we’re from. Pretty much what Hobbies stands for—a platform built to showcase and empower genuine art and function in the many forms it takes.
Here’s to the craft, the community, and the stories yet to be told.
Never forget where you came from—creatively or culturally.

NYZERE DILLON
For our first Highlighted Artist of this series, we have the humbly talented @erezyn with an inside look at his craftsmanship and works.
Nyzere, born in Jersey and raised in South Carolina while spending most of his years growing up in Brooklyn, is far from just any sculptor. He uses his artistic platform to amplify marginalized Black voices and foster community empowerment.
When working on the track “Breakin’ the Mold”, I immediately knew I wanted to incorporate an artist that is great with their hands to help represent the deeper meaning behind the lyrics. That’s when Mr. Dillon came into question. We hit him up on Zoom and asked if he would be willing to be a part of it, and from that conversation, I knew that everything was meant to be. Ordained even.
Here are some behind-the-scenes shots and quotes from an interview that we had with Nyzere in his personal studio.
I want to give a big and warm thanks to everyone that made this come into fruition.

We as artists are consistently shifting the dynamics and consistently rewriting the norms of how we view society and life as a whole. We must continue to cherish our hobbies as I believe that it’s key to our individualism and overall sanity. As Nyzere would say, “Beauty soon come”.
BLACK WATA’s “Breakin’ the Mold” ft. @frankoo_dyce@zeke.riley@knottyprofessor_ & @deadassmoose is out now on Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube.
