Back to our roots. The first photograph is of a girl selling sampaguita - the Philippine national flower, a white jasmine strung by hand and sold outside churches. People buy them to lay at the feet of saints. She is probably eleven years old. She is already working. These images are old. The women in them were not famous. They wore their traditions, raised their children, sold their flowers, and kept things moving in the way women always have - without monuments. Our name belongs to one woman who did get remembered: María Josefa Gabriela Cariño de Silang. Revolutionary. Commander. Executed at 25 for refusing to surrender. We carry her name because we believe the woman who leads her own life deserves to be adorned like it. This is where we come from. This is who we dress for. #desilang #gabrielasilang #filipinobrand #handmadejewelleryuk Images via Pinterest. All rights to their respective owners.

There’s something I love about our market weekends — seeing you style de Silang in your own way, having those beautiful conversations, and watching you find the pieces that feel right. Getting to meet you in person and hear your thoughts on the collection is always the highlight for me. We’re back next weekend, and I wanted to make it a little special. 15% off the entire collection 3 for 2 across all pieces If you’ve been considering something, this is a lovely moment to come by. I have a limited number of complimentary ticket links — just DM us and I’ll send yours personally. See you there.
