On May 8th, the very first Somalia National Pavilion officially opened, a historic day.
Through the profound work of Ayan Farah, Asmaa Jama, and Warsan Shire, our oral heritage has been translated into physical space. The pavilion was officially inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and the Director of the National Museum of Somalia.
We were honored to share this milestone with delegates from the Somali global community, partners, family and friends, and the wider art community.
We are incredibly grateful to our artists, and to the Somali community whose love and belief brought us here.
The doors are open. Welcome to SADDEXLEEY.

BMK – BUDAPEST CULTURAL CENTER
@budapestimuvelodesikozpont
The BMK identity is built on a modular visual system representing cultural connection, community networks, and the diversity of Budapest. The interlocking geometric forms act as visual metaphors for interaction, collaboration, and continuous cultural exchange. The system emphasizes BMK’s role as a cultural hub connecting communities, institutions, and programs. The flexible visual language functions seamlessly across both print and digital platforms while creating a strong and recognizable identity. The distinctive typography and dynamic pattern system reinforce the image of an open, progressive, and inclusive cultural platform.

On May 18, 2026, @museumofethnography opens its new temporary exhibition, Rituals of Beauty, featuring a selection of photographs from anthropologist Gustaaf Verswijver’s decades-long fieldwork in the Amazon. The exhibition offers insight into the everyday life, ceremonies, and visual culture of the Mebengokre (Kayapó) communities. Verswijver began his research in the mid-1970s in an isolated Amazonian village that at the time had very limited contact with the outside world. He has continued his work ever since, regularly returning to the community, which today actively preserves its cultural identity despite the increasing presence of globalization and the Brazilian state.

PULP FICTION
The hidden stories behind architecture are presented by speakers who also shape the vision of the designers. Theory is not only about historical interpretation, but also about forward-looking, experimental, and perspective-shaping critiques that influence both current and future architecture, through both education and public discourse.
Speakers:
Regina Loukotova (Architectural Institute in Prague)
Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli (Royal College of Arts)
András Cseh (CAN Architects)
Davide Tommaso Ferrando (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano)
Excited to share that we’re featured in the upcoming book The Elements of Brand Design by @taschen
After three years in the making, it’s incredible to see this project come to life. We’re proud to be part of it and grateful to have contributed alongside so many inspiring creatives.
Can’t wait to finally hold it in our hands soon
SADDEXLEEY
@somaliapavilion
For its first participation in La Biennale di Venezia, Somalia presents a pavilion structured as a poetic form.
Built on three – three artists, three registers, three relations. SADDEXLEEY unfolds through repetition, variation, and rhythm.

In 2024, we were invited to develop a brand identity concept for the Budapest Festival Orchestra (BFZ) as part of a design competition. Our concept builds on the orchestra’s existing logo, transforming it into a cohesive visual identity system. The original mark is expanded with a motif representing the audience, forming a dynamic, generative system. The identity is built on a custom pattern generator, which visually expresses the close relationship between the orchestra and its listeners, capturing the distinctive atmosphere of BFZ concerts. The identity balances tradition and innovation: it is flexible and adaptable, yet grounded in strong, recognizable foundations. The color palette and typography are designed to be contemporary yet timeless, supporting the orchestra’s international presence. The typography also functions independently, ensuring a clear and consistent visual voice across all applications.
Designed for both print and digital use, the identity is scalable and versatile, allowing for variation while maintaining a unified and recognizable appearance.

FROM MOME TO THE WORLD, WITH LOVE!
What does design mean today, and how can something so intangible shape our everyday lives so profoundly? The exhibition frames design as both a tool for positive change and a source of critical tension, focusing on the power of small, empathetic steps rather than grand promises.
For the fourth edition of the Stefan Lengyel Excellence Scholarship, 32 awarded projects were curated into a cohesive narrative built around the metaphor of five shipments. These thematic units unfold as immersive, room-like environments, inviting visitors to “unpack” local social issues, educational innovation, human–nature relationships, and experimental design approaches.
The exhibition took place at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, where our team developed both the curatorial concept and the visual identity. The resulting modular system translates complexity into a clear structure while encouraging slower, more personal engagement.
