This is a moment for me (and for all small business owners) to remember to be kinder to myself when I feel like there’s so much more I want to do, and that I’m not doing enough. Patience is truly a virtue when working for oneself.
Also, a reminder to myself that I’ve already done more than I ever thought possible. To publish an independent food magazine that I designed (what!), adding product lines to the shop that I adore and have been SO loved by you!, to be able to be better at the craft of making ceramics over time. It’s priceless.

Opn Art Market’2026!
Coming back to showcase at the Bazaar this year felt like a full circle moment. So much has happened over the past year- new products added, business strategies tweaked and some new lessons learnt.
This year feels like a launch pad for the brand, we plan on building on the foundation we’ve laid, taking on bigger projects, adding more meaningful collaborations and simply being ‘seen’ more.

A reason we started De Boue Play was to share the two things we absolutely love- the tactile act of centering ourselves with clay and gathering people around the table. It was all that and more- it was playful, it was joyous, there was good food. We had the best time.
Our table scape was all things summer ✨- butter yellow table cloth 🧈 , summer flowers 🌺 perched on top of citrus 🍊 mausambis, candles atop summer bread 🥖
We love art and it was amazing to be able to host our first experience at an art gallery, by the large windows and beautiful plants
